I live in the USA. When I played the demo everything went fine. Origins plays fine too. My Specs are:
Windows XP (32 bit)
2.99 GB of Ram
Running Direct X 9
Using NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT. 512 MB (fully updated)
Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU P8600 @ 2.40GHz (2CPUs)
plenty of hard drive space

Installed just fine. The release date check up went by without a hitch but the moment it tried to start up the game I got an error message
I Reinstalled, Started up the game and got the error message again.
At first the error message is this:

Error Signature-----
Appname: dragonage2.exe       Appcer: 1.0.5174.0 ModName:msvcr80.dll
ModVer: 8.0.50727.4053            Offset: 00014c23
Reporting details---------------
(stuff about how the error will be reported)

There is an option to view technical information about the error report so I click on it.

The Following information about your process will be reported:
(It won't let me copy paste this and it's huge! typing all that gives me shivers so I don't want to put it down. I will if I have to but I hope I already have enough information to get some help. If it's needed to put all that down then I guess I will but someone tell me first)

The following files will be included in this report:
C:\\DOCUME~1\\Rykn\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\31d2_appcompat.txt  (Those first four letters/numbers before the _appcompat.txt change each time I boot up DA 2)

I was VERY excited about this game, I was at my local gamestop at 9 pm sharp to get it. I can't help but feel down now. Please help. :crying:

EDIT: BTW wasn't this game supposed to take 7 gigs to install? It only took up 5 on mine...........

One thing to check - I noticed when I ran config utility the game defaults to DX11 and says it will fall back to DX9 if DX11 is not available. This is NOT true - it crashes if DX11 is not available on my DX10 card. The demo did not have this issue. If that doesn't work, I suggest looking at configuration - it also failed to detect wide-screen aspect ratio on my DX9 laptop (probably due to custom laptop drivers).
