I'm running at the resolution you stated (1680x1050). Its the highest resolution my monitor will run at (an the native resolution). I did not have the issue in the demo.
My mouse is only slightly off. It has to be near the top edge of an icon or menu option.
Thanks.

But this begs the question, how do we play full screen mode without the mouse issues?

Try changing your resolution. Are you by chance in 1680 x 1050? Also, are you in windowed mode or fullscreen?
Luke, I'm curious why you stated that resolution. Is there a known bug that is being looked at. If so, I will just set the game aside until the patch comes out and stop banging my head (lightly) against the wall trying to solve the issue for my computer.
Thanks

My mouse can't seem to "see" certain objects in the environment. I try to open doors, but the mouse won't transform into the "door" shape. If I switch to a companion - usually the mouse will fix itself.
This also happens with chests, and in combat. Typically, switching characters works - but I've had occasions where nothing worked.
The worst was when I got trapped in Hawke's Home. There were no party members and my mouse couldn't click on anything.
For Luke:
I am in Full Screen - using DirectX 11 - and my resolution is 1920x1080.
Thanks for helping us with this problem!

I've tried windowed mode, but then the bottom of the screen is cut off and I can't see commands, fight abilities, etc.
This problem must be fixed otherwise the game is unplayable. Bioware, you have been outstanding until now.

create a shortcut for Dragonage2.exe located in the bin_ship folder.
Right click the shortcut and choose properties; in the compatibility tab check "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings."
I tried this and it WORKED.
Hope this helps. thanks again Gloomy80

- the 1680x1050 resolution is being interpreted by the .ini incorrectly right now so that may be causing the mouse issue if thats what you're running (try dropping it down one for now)
- HIGH DPI scaling is causing issues right now. Gloomy80s suggestion should* fix this issue for those affected by it
both of these will be fixed in the first patch (not the 1.01 hotfix)
