Hey all, here's the link for AMD's beta drivers.

support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/Catalyst114earlypreview.aspx

Never had any problems updating drivers, yet with those I get:

Driver Install: the driver package did not preinstall because files that are referenced by the INF file could not be found

Every single time.

Did you even read this thread before posting...

just a few posts down is the link to the AMD 11.4 preview driver which does have some DA2 specific fixes.

Let me know when you get it working.

Beta drivers did not solve the issue. I still crash 10 seconds into the prologue. Dx9 works just fine so I guess I will be using dx9 until a patch comes along.

(For what its worth: Crossfire ATI 4870s on Vista x64. 8 gig ram)

Installed the AMD stuff, and did just about every other god damn suggestion to get this game running and nothing works. Absolutely nothing. The game still just crashes whenever I hit play.

I'm playing with the final ATI version 11.2 on my 5970 and it plays silky smooth with all the detail at full including the graphics addon. While I'm very disappointed in the game, I must say it sure does look good!

I seemed to have fixed my freezing, though it wasn't pretty. This may help for people with low framerates as well.

I downloaded the beta 267.26 driver, which is only supposed to be meant for the GTX 560 Ti, and modified the .inf file to work with my 260M, and surprise, surprise, I am able to run the game on everything as high as I can go on DX10, except without SSAO, and it runs without freezing anymore at a stable framerate. Previously was running the 267.24 beta driver.

Your mileage may vary, but NVIDIA really shouldn't device lock their drivers.

The 267.26 beta drivers fixed the black textures for me and significantly improved my frame rate, but it still goes no higher than 22 FPS, which is odd on a GTX 480 Superclocked.

The beta drivers from nVidia do absolutely nothing to fix the dx11 problems with this game. It is exactly as it was during the demo, maybe 1 fps every minute, then smooth for a few seconds then a hiccup again, continuously. Windows 7 64, e8400 core2duo, gtx 260, 4gb ddr2 1066. Just a heads up as I'm sure you are all aware but 267.24 drivers do zilch.

I got the same CPU as you do with Windows 7 (64)  and a GTX 285 and got the exact same problem. Works great for a few seconds and then there's a hiccup. Really annoying.

Same problem for me. Experiencing a lot of hiccups on anything higher than medium setting. :(
