Your account has those items entitled so you should have them when you reach Gamlen's house in Act 1 if you are logged in to PSN.

I have a huge problem with these two items. I have no way of getting them because I'm stuck only having the PS3 web browser. Gamestop (oddly) didn't give me a PSN code to download the items. On the receipt it says you don't need a code, just go on their site. When you click on the tab for the pre-order items a download window comes up, but what it's giving me to download is a .pdf. The PS3 has no way of viewing a .pdf.

Can anyone tell me what's in the .pdf? Is it a download code? Is it instructions on how to get the items? I really need some help on this.

Your accounts all have those items entitled. Per Luke's message, these items will appear in a chest, when you reach Gamlen's house in Act 1 if you are logged in to PSN and logged in to your Bioware/EA account in-game.

From my experience just now, the PS3 version does not immediately start with these items. You have to go to social.bioware.com and log in to your account. Go to Register Games and register your copy of DA2. All it requires is typing in the UPC from the back of the case. When you go to your Profile now, you'll see the new items on there. They should now be in the chest in the house.

OK, I didn't need the Gamestop site at all. Just before I had left that last message I had registered my copy of the game, afterwards when I went back to the game, the items were in the chest. So yeah, as Eleriath stated, just register your copy of the game here on this site. You'll be all set.

Just to add, I'm glad I was able to register the game at all. When Origins came out, I wasn't able to register the game on this site using the PS3 browser for some reason and missed out on that awesome dagger because of it. I just tried again today so I could post in this sub-forum and it worked after I did it a very particular way (weird we didn't have to register to post in tech support before). It took 3 tries but I just happened to be persistent trying different things cuz the PS3 browser is so tempermental, but it went through. Registered Origins as well just for the hell of it. Too bad I can't still get that dagger though.

I had the same problem Guy's heres the fix...you must Register the game first on your Bioware account then it will show up..I spent the whole day talking to EA and then they said to register the game thats when I got my sword and shield and some other DLC.

P.S. make sure that ur Bioware account is the same email addy as ur psn addy u used to start ur psn account thats the only way it will work.good luck guy's and Ladies.I still didnt't get my Blood Dragon Armor though.

I am aware that Bioware guy wrote that you may not get the sword and shield if the email accounts that you used to register are not the same. This is the case with me. Does any one know of a work around though? Maybe a way to create a new EA account or something?

*Edit : What Bioware guy said is evidently not entirely true. My psn email is different from my EA account email. However, I followed all of the online instructions, went to Gamlet's house, found no sword or shield, saved, quit, rebooted the game, went back into the house, and then found the sword and shield in the chest. It may just take update time or a reboot.

I too am having issues. My account says that the items are approved for my account, but when I'm logged into the PSN, Bioware accounts and the game, I go to my special deliveries chest and nothing. Will it make a difference that I registered the game AFTER my initial trip to pick up the Signature Edition stuff, so I have everything but the shield and sword in my inventory already? I'm a bit confused still...

By the way, I also used the same e-mail address/psn for everything here. I have all the other DLC in my account as well (including DLC from DA:O like the Blood Dragon Armor)... so I'm confused!

I have the following
Boots of the Frozen Wastes Dragon Age II PS3 More Info
Of Things Not Lost Dragon Age II PS3 More Info
The Far Cliffs of Kirkwall Dragon Age II PS3 More Info
Lothering's Lament Dragon Age II PS3 More Info
Staff of Parthalan Dragon Age II PS3 More Info
Fadeshear Dragon Age II PS3 More Info
The Lion of Orlais Dragon Age II PS3 More Info
However, the Staff Hindsight or Boots are not showing in the extras-unlockables area on the start up menu. I have the blood Dragon Armor and the Sir Issac Armor quest but not the Staff, Hindsight, or the boots. Yes my email is different but EA in their Limited Intelligence makes it a pain in ass to try and change it if you can at all. So my question is if half of the items showing up are in my game why aren't the rest? and why do you suck at making things easy for players who have waited patiently for this sequel just to rob them of their entitlements what are Republicans HAHA

Seriously!!!???  Couldn't Bioware just give us the code??!!  NO.  They
had to try and boost their marketing by having people register for
their DLC.  I preordered my DA2 game at Gamestop for my PS3.  When I
picked it up and asked for the code, the salesperson had no idea what I
was talking about.  Finally figured it out about registering the game.
Unfortunately for the guy in front of me, they never told him anything
like that.

On top of trying to register, god willing they
give decent directions on how to do it. It's like being stuck in a
maze, and my crap still isn't in the game!!!!  Bioware could have at
least put up straightforward directions.  Not surprising to see so many
post concerning people still not getting their DLC.

I already
gave them $60 for the game, and by doing the DLC through the
registration it's just Bioware's way of getting more marketing
information.  I am very dissappointed to see a reputable company like
this shame itself and lower itself like this.  I will not be
preordering any game for them anymore.  The point of preordering the
game was to get the "cool" item no one else can get.  The Companies
love it because they get to post and track sales before the game is
even released.  Looks good to stock holders but sucks for the gamers!!!

my 2 cents

What if you have other users on your PS3 with their own profiles?  The DLC is registered under my profile so now they have to log in with my name in order to play the game with the DLC?  This is BS.  In Origins the DLC was available to all users on my console.

The number on the back of your ps3 box, with the bar code is all you have to register. took me awhile to figure it out, but the numbers to both the far left (single digit) and the far right (single digit) have to be input as well. It should be more clearly written, or they could have solved the issue and emailed us a separate code instead of of using the UPC but God help us if everything were done with common sense.
