After just installing Dragon Age 2, i have run into some mouse issues, as well as some graphic ones as well. The only way i can play the game somewhat so far is to use DX9, but whenever i right click on something, it doesn't register and moves my pointer to the lower left area of my screen. this makes things near impossible to play while fighting.  Also, when i have DX11 active, i get the same issue, but it's worse and it's like i have to click on an icon 3 inches to the southwest of it for it to register.  Anyone know a solution?

ok I kinda fixed it for the moment. First create a shortcut for Dragonage2.exe file, which is located in the bin_ship folder. Right click the short cut and choose properties, in the compatibility tab check the "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" checkbox. hope this help.

I had this issue as well and solved it by changing the display properties setting for readability back to 100% (I had it at 150%). Thanks for the info with the shortcut. That sounds like a better solution.

How do you do this fix if you're running through Steam?

I think you can create a shortcut on Desktop in your steam game library.  Try right click your game and see if you have the option.  Otherwise you can always find the dragonage2 exe file in your steam folder.  I believe it's steam/commonapp or something.  I am not home yet so I am not sure, just browse around your steam folder and see if the dragonage2 folder comes up.

Brilliant diagnosis. This was driving me batty, both solutions work but I want to keep my scaling at 150%, so just right-click->properties->compatibility and disable display scaling works perfect!

what eventually worked for me was to go into the config utility and uncheck full screen, then enter the game. Play the game for a few minutes then exit. Go back to the config utility and recheck full screen mode. Now it works just fine.

I'm having this problem: I can't use right click, this happens during battles. What happens is that suddenly I can't select targets, move with right click, AoE spells are stuck around the character that is casting it, and when I manage to survive the battle with all this problems, I can't loot, move with right click, open doors, and the cursor is behaving as though it is over one of the characters. It looks like a conversational balloon, and no matter where on the screen I click, on the left click it selects random character, and on the right it is making that character talk. You think this method will help??

Ok I had fixed it for a while by taking the game out of full screen then after a short time reenable full screen. It only seems to be an issue with full screen. My res is 1920 x 1080. Also disabling the high dpi settings in the compatiblilty tab made no difference. Any thoughts
