Sorry if this question has been answered before (probably has) but I can't get the forum search function to work. All my searches return 0 answers even with a very open word such as "world"...

Anyway, is there any news on roughly how big DA is in terms of game world? I take it there is probably more areas than the 9 areas represented in the world map on the website?

Basically I wouldn't want to know exactly how many areas there is, since that's part of the exploration. However it would be nice to know if the 9 areas in the world map is the majority of the games areas (or even all of them) or if it's only like 50%.

(hope I'm not rambling too much...)

well, from a videos ive seen, they have said that ferldren(sorry bad spelling), is just a small contenint in large world, so i assuming that the world is quite large, most of it is accessable

There is more in the world of Dragon Age, but Origins is about Fereldan. The other countries don't count in this game.



But the game has to be big, else you can't fill in 80+ hours.

There are numerous areas in DA:O - I haven't actually counted them (and if I had, I wouldn't be allowed to tell), but some of the areas are quite large and will take a lot of time to explore.



However, DA:O is limited to just one tiny part of the world - it is quite likely that future games set in the DA world will take place in other parts of the world.

Are there only going to be 9 locations on the world map with further locations accessable through them, ore are there going lots of locations of the world map...



Personally i am hoping for lots... But we shall see next week...

Hopefully the in-game world (not the whole DA universe world) will feature lots of locations on the world map, much like BG and BG2 (probably some will need to be discovered through NPC's or such).
