Same here. I believe it might be an issue with your internet being unable to establish a connection to their website, but I could be wrong.

I've contacted customer support for this issue. Had one response back (had to give them my registration key). I will respond back in this post if a solution is emailed to me.

Same problem here, tried disabling firewall/virus programs/and giving permissions (thinking maybe some sort of connection issue)...didn't work. Tried reinstalling...that didn't work either.

Na I saw another thread of some people with the same issue. Internet searches are also showing the same issue with other games that use secrom. I did visit that site from the error screen for securom and downloaded their diagnostic tool. It is showing that dragon age 2 does not use anything from securom?!

What... That makes no sense. I tried to navigate their website this morning but couldn't find anything related to Dragon Age 2 on their website. This is such a grievance. I really want to play.... Please bioware, come up with a solution soon!

I downloaded the securom diagnostic tool as well and ran the analysis. It did not update the date check application so I emailed securom with my analysis log. I will let you guys and gals know when I get a response from either bioware or securom : ) cheers!

Yeah I also put in a ticket, but I think I'm going to head to bed for the night. I'm just amazed at how bad this launch has been. Seems there is a lot of game breaking issues. I'll check in tomorrow and hopefully EA get's back to me by then.
SecuRom sucks!!!

In the same boat, heading to bed. Hope issues will get resolved by tomorrow. Let you guys gals know if any news gets sent my way : ) It sucks that people are getting mad at bioware (just looking at other forums) it's not their fault, it's EA's stupid DRM policy. Thanks EA!

On a whim I decided to try to go to the Adminstrator account on my computer that I created when I had trouble logging in the Demo.
Sure enough the release date checker ran in that account, but then it came up saying it was missing the AWC.dll file (or something and I had to re-install.
After I ran it in the Admin account I went back to my regular user account and it didn't do the date check, but still came up with the awc.dll error. trying to reinstall now.
