Could I please get some definate concrete info. on whether DRAGON AGE will have an in game console-like past
BIOWARE games have had, and how to activate/use that console.

I doubt anyone will answer this in the definite, but I'd be inclined to say yes. Consoles are common in game engines of this type for debugging purposes anyway.

Judging from past Bioware games the chances are high. Only Jade empire doesn't have one. We will know for sure on Tuesday.

But yea I can't remember playing a game on the pc, like this one, that didn't have a console.

You may laugh at cheating but if we are going to be able to create content, being able to see how it plugs in, with invulnerability and the like, could be an important part of testing new content.

I am definently getting the game, as I imagine most are, I dont think whether there is or is not an

in game console will effect anyones ultimate decision to buy the wonderfull game, however it does

frusterate me that BIOWARE or developers wont anounce about whether their is a console or not

and how that will work.

I can see no reason or gain in their silence, other than causing anoyance and frustration.

I'd say that's a definite yes. I just can't see modding the game without a console to try things out.

Oh yes. There is most certainly a conspiracy from the developers, who are days away from launching a major project and also working on two more, to not come down form on high and answer whether or not you can press ~ to launch the console in game.

Can we get some cold water in here? Some people need a splash of reality.

Although not a BioWare Rep, I can confirm that there will be a console. There's a config file in my Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/Settings folder called KeyBindings, where

"OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_Grave

OpenConsole_1=(UNASSIGNED)"

idk which button is the Grave button, but it's probably modifiable from in-game.
