Honestly I am shocked to say the least about this.  The "Drive not ready" error was well established in the demo and yet it was not fixed even after its existance was noted.  I hope this is going to get patched quickly.

It is really annoying that every time I launch the game I get that same error.

I gotta agree with Elizabeth here -- the fact that this error has been out there for two weeks (it was in the demo) and the best solution your mod can come up with is "try rebooting your computer" is pretty damn pathetic. You would think by now you would have had a patch ready.

I have always considered Bioware to be the best game company out there, but I guess the further we go down the EA path, the crappier it's going to get.

Did a search and found this thread. I am having this same problem.

It doesn't happen if I boot into XP/use DX9, but on Win7 and DX 11 it happens.

It's really annoying.

If you have a floppy drive active on windows disable it though your device manager it worked for me.

It always wants to use floppy drive A:\\ but I even don't have any ...
only a SATA harddrive

It works, when I use WINDOW MODE for DA2

Thanks for the tip! Now I don't need to toggle in and out of windowed mode to get rid of it.

I had a compact flash reader plugged into my usb port. When I removed it, the problem cleared up.

There are reports disabling the SD card reader is also required. So if you have floppy or SD card reader, just disable it in the windows system manager, and it should work.
