So... by now most of us know what happens to Leandra near the end of Act 2.
So far I've found no way to prevent this from happening, it seems like a forced story event.
I've tried every variation of quests and dialogue but still she gets murdered.
Anyone else find anything regarding this? Keep discussion of this topic in this thread.

It's implied that this quest can be a little different if you let Gascard survive in Act1.
Then instead of meeting Gamlen in lowtown in Act 2 you can go to Gascard in Darktown.
He does a blood magic ritual that gets you to Leandra instantly.
Don't know how this effects the outcome however. Someone should try.

Sorry I meant Gascard Du Puis.
Emmeric has you look for him in the "Prime Suspect" quest.
Which is actually in act 2 I believe.

Which one is Gascard? I don't remember if I let someone like that live or not... Too many names, too many people killed...

Apparently I haven't found Emmeric, yet... Where is he? I'm still working on quests before I go into the Deep Roads.

...Oh wait, Emmeric is that templar, isn't he? And Gascard is the Orlesian man who lost his wife, right? I'll have to see if I can find him. Isn't he in Hightown somewhere?

That's in Chapter 1, you'll meet dePuis in the quest "Prime Suspect" in Chapter 2. Just dug up my saves and found the spot.

I like that she died, to be honest, in my "evil" playthrough. fitting punishment for a bastard of a character that I'm playing. Really got me too.

Seriously....just finished this quest so sad and i'd finally gotten over her blaming me for Bethany. Poor Mama Hawke. Stupid bioware making me get all teary eyed. Bastards.

Leandra was pretty looking too. I'm sad she has to died too and wish I could romance her before she gets murdered.

I believed the story he told me about his sister, so I let the blood mage live. She still died (tears!)

Though I didn't see him again after letting him go. I thought the person I was with was going to kill him if I took her to him so I lied and said I didn't know where he went. I was hoping she'd drop it, so I could go alone.

You can go back to visit him in Lowtown. He says he misses her.

God damn, you get so dark sometimes, Bioware. I actually felt physically sick after this quest... Haven't felt like this since A Paragon of Her Kind/Anvil of the Void. I had to take a break after that one...

The ending to this quest was/is one of the most emotional scenes in the game, imo. Hawke can't seem to catch a break.

I honestly raged because I thought it was my fault for believing the killer. I couldnt go back and re-do it since autosaves overwrite each other! but I'm glad it wasn't (she dies no matter what)

I call shenanigans on this one BioWare. This seems a cheap and manipulative move.
