Is this known issue, is this a real issue?

If so, when should we see a fix, because honestly, I don't want to touch the game, until I know that works.
(Jist of it, game files are corrupting apparently & all choices you made become muddled & wrong)

Could we get someone to at least confirm or deny this? Really biggest thing, we hate being mushrooms(I am sure your aware of that analogy)

It imported mine just from from the end of Witch Hunt (you can even browse the game decisions made during your import save when importing). I have only progressed past the initial content that was in the demo so far in DA2 and the only mention of my past deeds thus far was in the codex entry for Flemeth at the end where it says she saved wardens from the tower at Ostagar. However, that reference could end up being there regardless of if you import a save.

Bottom line, as far as functionality of the import process went.. it seemed to import just fine and gave confirmation afterwards.

Hope this helps

Mine "appeared" to read and import properly as well... but as the story unfolded, I realized it my import wasn't influencing it.. so i used the dev console to chk various world and plot flag and realized my import flags were NOT there

duno then. that's no good ;/ Although I do remember hearing that the import wasn't going to change anything really significant. (Think about the emails from ME1 NPCS during ME2)

Yes, I feel the same way. My DA:O were saved on another drive, so I copied and moved them over, and I still cannot even see them.

Half-finished bug ridden game? No surprise there. At least a comment if its being worked on would be nice, no point in even starting a game if import isn't working.

The import isn't working properly. It's even noted in the release notes for PC and there's several threads full of people with improper imports. Mine didn't import as well, I played for hours and then noticed all the past references were completely wrong. I shouldn't be surprised that BioWare and EA would release a broken unfinished game, but somehow I still am after all these years.

Maybe I should then be happy that the game is just insisting my save files are not in the exact directory where it is looking for them, if it is worse to have the import than to not have the import.

I didn't really read up on how DAO (and DLC) choices would affect DA2.  Is it just passing references, or does the story actually unfold differently based on previous decisions?
