In game, the framerate is low and I have some serious graphical bugs:

Image IPB

Interestingly, performance is fine and there are no graphical issues for the in-game cutscenes, only for the gameplay.

I have a GTX570 (1.2 GB vram) and am using the hi-res texture pack (very high, DX11, 4XAA, 1920x1200).

Anyone else having similar issues or know a workaround?

e: looked in steam forums, people are saying the beta drivers fix this, so I am going to try that.
e2: yup, beta Nvidia drivers fixed it.

Yup, beta Nvidia drivers fixed both the performance and texture bugs.

I had those same issues, the beta driver fixed the black spots and gave "some" frame rate improvement, but the game is performing FAR below what it should do on my rig. I think nvidia needs to optimize the driver for DA2 further AND BW needs to do work on the games DX11 engine

I just want ATI drivers too. :(

I'm actually glad that I'm not the only one. I have a new GTX 580 and was really disappointed by how my card was handling this game. Glad it's not just me...

I updated my drivers to the latest version (Nvidia) but am still having the same issue. Can anyone post a link for the Nvidia beta drivers download? Cheers

(I7-930@2.8GHz(Auto-OC)/evgaGTX480sc/12GB1600 3chan/Win7Pro x64 SP1)

53-61.1 FPS in heavily crowded area (tested with eVGA Precision Pro 2.02)

If you have a similar build, this may help you...
Until NVidia/Bioware release updates/fixes/new drivers, these are my primary settings:

NVidia Beta Drivers, DX11, High Settings, Hi-res textures, AA/AF @ Max, VSync, 1920x1200
(adjust AA/AF depending on your machine, and certain in-game environments[combat, etc])

Simply adjust your settings either from in-game, or the config utility until you find settings you are content with. Last resort, just play using DX9 settings if you have to.

Good luck, happy darkspawn hunting!

@SuperNugz- Just google 'NVidia beta drivers" and it should have a link directly to NVidia's homepage section with the beta drivers.

Here's the link to the betas...

http://www.nvidia.co...aspx?lang=en-us

It didn't fix the Fps issue in DX11 but no more weird textures.
