Something that is amusing (and quite scary....) is a newspaper article in a Norwegian newspaper about this forum where they write about people getting their negative posts deleted and even getting banned so they cant play (getting banned from here apparently makes you unable to play a game that you have paid for.....).

Whoever moderates this forum... you are now getting people writing about you in international media.. and not of the positive kind i might add. Food for thought perhaps :)

My GUT FEELING about Dragon Age 2 after completing my first game........disappointed. Its not that it wasn't long enuff, it was, boringly so considering I was STUCK in the same locales over and over again, I felt like Kirkwall's JANITOR, constantly cleaning the same 'rooms' endlessly bc some1 just HAS to go and make more of a mess, oops I meant 'quest'.

I actually LIKED the very streamlined and intelligent abilities system, Made me really think about exactly what KIND of archetype to be. Also liked the crafting system, upgrade system, and friendship/rivalry system.

What I found irritating was the fact that I didn't have more options in dialogue to 'slap the stupid via caustic wit' out of people more often. I liked being given the option to tell people they are just being stupid reactionary bigots. I LOVED being able to use the humorous/charming option. I FINALLY GOT THAT after so many games from Bioware with the whole good or evil, vanilla or choco dialog options, that's so boring it makes ya wanna cry, or eat cake(oh wait, the cake is a lie!).

Well, I can say the story was.....ok.....look, I played FOUR HUNDRED HOURS of Origins, you know, become a Grey Warden, battle the Blight, save a whole Kingdom! Ring any bells here? DA2 was so anti-climatic compared to Origins its like trying to compare Star Wars( the Original, Episode IV) with Phantom Menace. Any honest fan is gonna laugh you right outta the building....

All I can do after its all said and done is say that you disappointed me Bioware, please wake up and get FREAKY-EPIC with DA3, Or do I gotta verbally slap-the-stupid outta you too?

Okay, short and sweet.  I like the game but if I had never played Origins then I wouldn't be so disappointed that it isn't as good.  So, what is different.  Let's start out with the combat - for me, this has made no difference but I understand that other people like it.  I like how much better the animation is - this is good.

However, what really bothers me about this game is that I WANT MY DIALOGUE CHOICES BACK.  The wheel may be nice for some people but I want to know exactly what my character is going to say, not some poor summary where some of the time the summary is the exact opposite of what the character says - or the character says much more than that, destroying the effect I was trying to have with saying the first thing.  If people want a dumbed down game where they don't have to read as much, have that option but give me more control over the character.  I personally don't really care that Hawke is fully voiced since when I read what I was saying in Origins I heard my voice in my own head saying it - for those of you who have done real roleplaying before you should be used to hearing your voice for your character - but the fully voiced thing was neither good nor bad for me, just different.  Again, let me see exactly what my character is going to say so I can totally make it my own.

A couple of other things:
1. Please make DA3 with more locations.
2. Please make it so I have to talk to someone before I get credit for their quest so if they are looking for a particular shawl I can say, "I have it right here," instead of just getting the dialogue for the end of the quest when I didn't even know what the quest was.

Once again, I liked it but DA:O was a 10 and DA2 is a 8.5.

PS: Oh, and double goes for what THEMDSpectre said above.  Especially about the slap-the-stupid outta you option.

So far i enjoyed the game am on act 2 playing as a mage
graphic are great
like the voice over for main
fighting is a lot faster and keeps things moving.
but for some reason i liked dragon age origins better. The story was more interesting i wish you would have kept going with the old story. But you might continue that story in the future i hope. Even though i enjoyed dragon age 2 .
Well i still think da 2 is a fun game to play compared to the garbage that is out now. I hope to see more games form bioware. Will be waiting for mass effect 3. thanks and keep them coming.

All this talk of the consoles ruining Dragon Age is really beginning to tick me off. Because it simply is not true. I enjoyed playing DA:O so much on my 360 I went and got it for my PC after I upgraded my rig just to see what was different about it. And you know what, the console version is exactly the same as the PC version, nothing was cut, nothing was omitted. The only difference's being the Tac. camera, and slightly better graphics on the PC. BUT THAT'S IT!!! Everything else was identical. Story, character's, quests, items, everything was the same.

I'm not buying the arguments that DA:O was to clunky on the consoles one bit. The radial menu was a stoke of genius and I think far superior to the PC's DA:O interface(matter of preference). DAII was not made to be "more" console friendly. It was made to appeal to the more casual crowd of gamers, on both platforms. The one's that would pass up a good deep CRPG for the instant gratification of flashy combat. Not thoughtful story telling and rewarding tactical combat with a deep skill's, talents and inventory system, with epic scope. Sadly DAII has none of those things.

I've already posted my thought's on DAII and I'm extremely disappointed by this offering from Bioware. With the name Dragon Age; I expected a certain type of game and why shouldn't I or we cause I know that I'm not alone in feeling this way. Instead I got a game with alot of the JRPG elements that I loathe, Over-large swords, no customization options for your party, border line pedophilia(I have 3 daughters, so that really ticks me off) and absolutely no sense of exploration and discovery. DAII just feels BLAH! There is no wondering what is around the next corner, because you have already been there 10 freaking times before. "Oh wait that crate is in a different spot"

My only hope is that Bioware realizes these mistakes, drops the attempt to reel in the casual crowd and brings DAIII back to it's roots as a classic Role Playing Game and not Boring, Mindless Hack'n'Slash trash.

Oh and one more thing, when I slot a flame rune into a rune slot on my sword. I wanna see flames on my sword, or lightening or a frost effect. C'mon man!!!!

Overall DAII just feels rushed and incomplete.

Taken from my forum post(http://social.biowar...1/index/6487125), I didn't see this thread before I had made my own. sorry

What to say, I don't know if I should laugh or cry.

I am a major fan of DA:O and have replayed it numerous times, why, because of the story, the companions, the characters you can interact with, what you do will have a consequens, no matter if your evil or good. and for me the combat system was the greatest.

So when I got DA:2 my expectations were so high, that the fall from the hype sky made me explode more than the Mordor orcs that has invaded lothering when your escaping in DA:2.

I don't know, I probably expected more of the same (as stated DA:O2), and therefore this very casual/console friendly game with this new combat system being Console/Arcade Action Adventure like with no deeper meaning it was a hard pill to swallow.

some reasons:

No matter how hard you try, you are getting quests forced down your throat, and no matter how you respond to questions or companions it has no consequences.
In DA:O you could refuse to help redcliffe village for instance, and watch them being killed as a consequens of your action, and have negative feedback on that from your (in my opinion) way more personalized companions.

I loved when you made a choice, you would get that feedback, and had to argue like they were real persons, and had to convince them off your choice in order to keep "the good" relations.

The story in my opinion is also way better, there is a goal.. I have found none in this game.. it's just.. survival.. To me it could just as well be called "Dragon Age: The Aladdin Adventures, all it needs is a monkey and a parrot, and it's pretty close.

For those of you who like it, I am happy for you guys. Congratulation of a new game.

But for me this is a very poor excuse of a sequal, but as said, maybe I just had my expectations towards a sequal close to Origins, more of the same.

and maybe one day, when my heart is not broken, and dissapointment has gone to the fade, I might give it a chance, but for now it is an abomination that needs to be killed by the rite of annulment!

Wrote a review earlier in this thread when I was half through my first play. This is my review now that I have finished that play through.

The Good:

Combat: Much more fluid and intense, I felt a sense of excitement during every battle. Keep going in this direction.

Story: Loved the gradual build up of the story and how small events all led to that deciding moment.  Not every game can have a big bad and you have found a good alternative.

Companions: I didn't think it was possible to like my companions anymore than the ones in DA:O but you proved me wrong. The interactions between just walking around was hilarious. Seeing them interact in cut scenes made me feel like we were really a team. The more of this the better, in fact if you can somehow allow us to have them back in the third game or at least some (especially Isabela, Bethany, Aveline, and Varric.)

Quests: There was an abundance of quests and they varied in content. Having new quests only open if you do other quests. Again like this style of play.

Main Character Armor: For me there was enough armor choices to choose from and they had unique looks.

Immersion with DA:O: Liked all the little references to DA:O.

Family: I felt like I was fighting for something because of them. In fact Bethany was my favorite mage.

Romance: You guys always do this well, although maybe a little more tame than in the past. Don't let the media scare you.

Dialogue Wheel: Like knowing the context of how my character will reply rather than what she will exactly say. Also being able to bring teamates into the conversation.

The Bad:

Areas: I get you can polish the game more but a little more variety would be nice. Seriously we don't need a whole new game so quickly so if more time in development gives us more maps so be it. Game is still very enjoyable though.

Companion Suits: I am okay with not being able to play dress up with my companions. However it would have been nice to give us another option if we earned their friendship. Like loyalty suits in ME2.

Money: Seriously felt poor throughout the game. Should have got more money from quests.

Companion Quests: A few of the characters felt like the ending to their quest was missing.

Console Played: XBox 360
Overall Rating 92% or <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3 out of 10
Lasting Comments: Completely enjoyed my first play through and can't wait to go back for more. Looking forward to DLC expanding this game and hoping you guys bring back the companions, including Bethany.

Overall im pretty dissapointed with DA2. I am a fan of DAO and i feel like its just a stepdown. Im gonna say that its an alright game but it fails to really draw me in and care. In DAO I read every piece of codex and would talk to everyone and go through every dialogue option. In DA2 i dont really feel like i should care. Anyways...where to begin.

Graphics - They overall look better but its death in my view is in the details. Water effects look like they were just copied from KOTOR. That water city in there...yeah. Awful. Low res enviroment textures and ugly spell effects. Things like elemental weapons. Some spell effects were cool, and i like the cutscene art styles. But overall, dissapointing. I feel like its a slight improvement in some areas, in others just an awful mess.

Story - Its chopped up in so many different places that i dont feel interested enough to really care. Quests, storyline, and teamates just dont really grab my attention. Also i feel like theres just plotholes and lore gaps that just really hurt.

Environments - Boring. The city feels dull and drab. Every zone is copy pasted and they all suffer from a bad flow. In DAO there were corridors but they opened up and i feel kept you moving in one direction. You felt like you were moving further and further into the dungeon, castle, deep roads ect. In DA2 i often find myself being turned around just because there is no real sense of direction. And the background environments are...empty.

Sound - Battle effects sound visceral which is cool. But i dont like running through the city and hearing a conversation start, and then fade away in the span of 2 seconds. Im constantly having to stop suddenly or keep running and missing a conversation. I feel that it takes away from the flow of the game and does nothing to make the city come alive.

Gameplay - I like in some ways how they simplified attributes and made it clearer how they affected your performance. I also like the talent trees better. I dont like the omission of skills like speechcraft that added another layer of depth to the game. Same goes with crafting.

Teamates - Seems like they all only like when you do the 'right' thing. I developed strong rivalries with most of my teamates just because i wanted to play the badass **** mage angle. I fell in love with the characters from DAO. Im pretty uninterested in them in DA2.

Combat - Overall its alright. Its different, but pretty dumbed down and easy. I would have liked an option to turn off friendly fire but make the difficulty of enemies significantly harder. Its more animated and makes you feel like a badass than DAO, but i miss the custom death animations and deeper gameplay.

Wish they would have made your DAO savegame have more of an affect or at least more refrences ingame.

Again, overall its an alright game. But i feel like its a stepdown. I find it hard to get into and feel immersed. I regret buying it but if you found DAO to hard or confusing you might like it better.

The storyline is good and I do like the game but it would be better with more of a connection to your characters past, I've seen people saying the storyline is cliché I don't quite agree with that but that’s my opinion. The overall look is good with some minor complaints, the graphics area step up from the DA Ultimate but they aren't bleeding edge so which is not a bad thing as I don't want to have to go buy a new video card every time a new game comes out.

For one I was expecting more races and I was disappointed that I was limited to just human, but given the racism in the game not that surprising. I see a lot of talk about  the character lacking depth, that is because you start on the run Lothering is destroyed leaving questions and not enough of a connection to Hawke's past.

The cut and past dungeons with doors that don't open were dead giveaway that something was wrong and could been done better such as using different textures and removing the doors. Also character customization interface is a little lacking, the inventory icons I can see as being apart of the stories art style but really they take away from the game.

Over all I like the game and I am glad I preordered it but Iwhy did you remove the Warrior mage specialization?

Can't change Companion Armor.
Can't tell what loot is when picked up, must pause and enter inventory every time.
Can't equip a secondary weapon set.
Can't Persuade. Can't Intimidate.
I'm playing a rogue, 10+ hours in, and I've picked less than 10 locks.
Traps?  I've disarmed them, but can I ever make them?
The best Companion Story Development so far is with Aveline, and that isn't saying much. Meaningless loot that is so uninteresting that your programmers automatically send it into my junk tab for me? Just give me the money.
Do rogues ever get any melee weapon other than daggers?
Do mages ever get any melee weapon? Even if they're awful at it.

That said: It's still fun enough that I'll play it 3 times, once with each class. And I love that the Dog is no longer counts against your companion limit. I'd just like to see a return to a more tactics style/RPG next time. This one is too Hack 'n Slash.

As a lover of the original game you probably can already surmise where I will stand on the review of this game.
Where to even begin.
When I first fired up the game I could not help but feel that the game wanted me to recognize how awesome it is. Things were over the top and it came off as cheesy not as cool. There is a dramatic difference than sucking the player in and having dragons flying around with ogres exploding in the first 5 min.   Frankly, it came off as ham-fisted and it set the tone for the rest of the game.
Next thing I started noticing was the combat... oh the combat. The warrior is perhaps the only class I can see an improvement on minus their new insta-gibs (since when could I turn someone to blood pudding with a single sword swing?). However, the new lack of backstabbing for rogues (this new ability called backstab in it's place? wtf???) and the fact that my mage feels like he's just either showing off or having a seizure reduces the changes to ridiculous.
After the combat has finished then we get to partake in the agony of talking. Look. Having Hawk talk is great, but I honestly do not like staring at my screen with anticipation wondering what Hawk will say. Although cinematic, it is VERY detrimental to roll playing. I honestly have no fracking clue what *diamond* means. The symbols are esoteric and not explained to a point where they easily replace the chat list. I get some are supposed to be jokes but it was nice to have more than 3 possible things to say when you're in a conversation.

Everyone has already complained about the loss of the isometric camera but it's still a big frackin deal and had no legitimate reason to be removed.

However, perhaps my BIGGEST complaint is the new inventory and crafting system. Having crafting now 100% removed from the PC and their party is awful. It feels less like a crafting system and more like a gather quest with crap rewards. It honestly pains me to run around and mentally calculate what the hell I need to find instead of simply pulling up a crafting page.
This is combined with the fact that this is now a regression to NWN inventory system. I am able to make minor changes to armor and the like, but it really sucks that 3/4 of every drop is vendor trash. That simply isn't fun; half the joy of rpg's is playing dolls with your npcs. Furthermore, it is simply lazy to name everything "ring" or such non-sense. I get it, it's a ring; WHY THE HELL IS IT ENCHANTED!!!

Finally there is the dungeon system. Look, it's annoying as hell to wander around a dungeon trying to guess which doors are arbitrarily locked even though you can see there is space behind it. This completely DESTROYS The concept of exploration and ruined large portions of the game as I was stuck and confused as to whether or not I had to do something to open a door or if there was a path I hadn't seen; that isn't fun.

And frankly, I'm now 20 hours into the story and I still don't give a frack. It feels less like a epic story and more like a faction tale from DAO.

From an RPG perspective this how I would rate it:

Combat: 5/10
Flashiness improves the warrior but ruins the mage; archers STILL feel underpowered; making things explode doesn't always translate to entertaining. All in all a regression not an improvement.

Dungeons: 3/10
Repeating content and closed doors is both boring and confusing.

Story:7/10
Somewhat interesting but still bland and doesn't enthrall the player

Itemization 2/10
Simply dreadful. Items are either useless by NPC's or poorly itemized/unnammed for a particular build.

Overall: 4/10

Um... are you referring to the ability to bind potions to hotkeys?  Because, if I'm not mistaken, you could bind potions to hotkeys in DA:O, too.

Well, seems like everyone already pointed out the "pros" and "downs" of the game.I've played the demo, and sincerely, i am very, very disappointed (jcat87 disapproves -100). I won't buy it till the price drop 90% and the box comes with every DLC avaiable...
On a quick review, i feel like i just woke up from a coma stasis.... and all i got is this....
I really appreciate Bioware for releasing a demo, so i didnt waste my money on a kid's dumbed down anemic hardwared game (yes, i know there's a hi-tex patch)

PS: The game should be called "Devil May Cry : Dragon Ages Edition"

PPS: I'm really scared now about Mass Effect 3....

Alright, so let me establish a quick background here. I've been playing PC RPGs since the days of Ultima 4. (I did backtrack and play the older ones, but Ultima 4 was my first). I was used to pixel-lated graphics and lots of text which told an actual story. Then a classmate turned me on to Baldur's Gate when it first came out, and heaven forbid!, someone made a game with great graphics, gameplay and story. So, of course, I was very interested in the spiritual successor of BG when DA:O came out. Needless to say, after multiple playthroughs, I liked it. (Don't get me started on Awakening, but DA:O was good.)

I've just completed playthrough #1, and took my sweet time of doing it too. (30+ hours, roughly.) So needless to say, I believe I was quite thorough with it. So here's what I think:

The Combat -

Highly hyped coming in to the game, and I will give some credit, it wasn't bad.... at least on the surface.

Combat was very fast paced, with monsters/mobs spawning in on top of you pretty often. Forget holding choke points, and with cooldown on things like taunt taking forever, my tank (Aveline) wasn't very effective. So, in short, I think tactical gameplay has been tossed out the window. Sure, I could pause the game and move people around, but about the only time I ever really had to do that was with the Rock Wraith. Plus, without a good top-down view, it's hard to be tactical in the first place. While, I can appreciate the fluidity of the combat, this was clearly brought to the level of the consoler.

Story/Characters - This is pretty hit-and-miss for me. There were some plusses in there, for instance I loved the banter. Some missions were fun. However I feel like the Friendship/Rivalry system was inconsistent. For instance, I may have had a party member that didn't want me to do something, I do as the character asks, then I get rewarded with +5 rivalry. Plus it seems no matter what I do, the outcome is going to be the same anyways. Ultimately, it left me unconnected to the people within the story and just unsatisfied..

Also, in the process of "simplifying" the game, I think a lot of story/backstory was sacrificed in the process. Case-in-point - The Darkspawn. In the course of DA:O, and even DA:A, we encountered a wide variety of Darkspawn that we'd have to cut down, and they all had story or a reason for being there. (A definite plus) Somehow over the course of a year and a half, we've seen Genlocks (stated to be the most common, due to the Darkspawn having more access to Dwarven women) and Shrieks seem to go extinct, leaving us with Hurlocks and the occasional Hurlock emissary and an Ogre. (Not to mention any revamped Broodmothers, etc.) That was another big negative for me.

Graphics/Level Design - New graphics were being touted in this game. In fact, I went out to buy a new video card specifically for this game. (AMD Radeon HD5870). Needless to say, that I downloaded the very high res graphics and my fps tanked. Wasn't too disappointed with graphics on high though... until I realize that there wasn't much in the way of variety in the world. Worse yet, I've never seen so much blatant copy/pasting of maps in any game in quite a few years. Such lazy, lack of attention to detail really soured my gameplay experience.

Summary -

Look, this game had a good foundation to work off of. I picked up the Demo, and I had to say that I was hopeful that so long as the story was "there", then I could live with the combat.

Needless to say, that this is probably the lowest point I've ever seen a Bioware game and I've played them all. It was uninspired, and really should have had about another year of development to be done "right". I mean, take a look at your competition: Bethesda. TES:Oblivion was released 4 YEARS ago this month, and they're finally getting around to releasing a sequel for it. The thing is, people will wait around for quality. If you accelerate a product in the name of quick capitalization, yes you'll get short term capitol, but it'll ruin your long-term business.

Still, I don't wholly blame Bioware, as I know that there's someone behind them pulling the strings (EA). However, if I find later this year that ME:3 is a royal dud, I will no longer hold this studio in as high of a regard as I used to. History, however, makes me overly cautious. I mean, look at what happened to the Ultima series after a certain publisher got a hold of Origin Systems. Thank you for reading my post, if you read it all the way through...

Final Score: 6/10

This game its really anti-stupids, now you cant vary your clas stats, the warrior should take str and con, and a rougue dex and cunn... so you can now forget to vary the builds BECAUSE oh sorprise! you cant equip your armors... and i forgot... now the weapons have prerequisites too, so you canot equip other weapon only the predetermined for your class... so rougues->daggers, warriors->two handed, and one handed... thats pretty sad... and its very pity how now the characters forgot how to duald wield weapons, you cannot do it now.. only rougues but the idiots only do it with daggers... so not only the game became stupid, so the characters too.

So you in the end only have one straight build and thats it... you canot vary it any way... sure you can vary the skills but a character gets defined by his atributtes and equipment... so the idiots who says the equipment its not imporant neither the inventory are just that.. idiots that dosent want to play and RPG, they want to play a god of war or something like that.

This game its anti stupids.

Same thing happened with mass effect 2 armours and inventory...

This is my review after NOT playing it.

The games sucks. After Bioware sold theire souls to EA im finding it hard to trust them the DLC to DA:O proved me right. Back to DA2 and why im not getting it besides all the DRM's codes logging in, wich in it self is retarded i work as a chef and move around alot and cant keep track of every gamemanual and geting your codes from EA is harder then getting a date with Madelene Bernadott.

Play Dead Space 2 and get bla bla bla who evers armour.

I like RPG's why should i missout on armour just cause i dont wanna buy a FPS?
I like medival style fantasy games why should i buy a Sci-fi game and to get extra content?

If they rewarded me for buying BG,BG2 or NWN id buy them again but a freaking FPS or a Sci-fi game? come on!

You like pizza? Buy this extra large swordfish and get extra cheese on your pizza!

Its like wookies living on Endor it just dosnt make sence.

Where is the love for us who startded playing cRPG cause we didnt always had the time to get the gang together for a pnp game. Can we get our RPG's back from the CS kids? Pls give give the roleplayers back or games.

1/10 (Didnt play Blame it on Dead Space comment)

I would love to be able to equip armor on my companions... helmets, boots, gauntlets, etc.
Visiting the same area over and over and over and over and over again.... not good.
I understand many people think if they claim the game was the worse game ever, then maybe Bioware will listen more... not true. I actually enjoyed playing the game and cannot wait to play it over again. With that being said, it could have been a lot better. I liked the rise from Refugee to Champion thing, I liked all the different factions and the storyline. I would love to see that again maybe in the next game. I liked the Companions, but I would have preferred a little more interaction with them. For example, them coming to visit me more for things and them asking me to come visit them more. Them asking me questions, me being able to ask their opinion more often. Those sort of things. That would have been great. A little more interaction with the factions would have been nice too. Overall, I enjoyed the game and will play through it again. Please, next game, more choices, do not use the same areas over and over again, and more inventory options like being able to equip our followers. It sucked having Varric cause at least with everyone else we could change their weapons. Thanks!

The Combat was more exciting. In DA:O I could put my controller down and refill my coffee and get a snack while my Warden killed everything around her on Hard. Anyone who complains about the combat system in DAII really needs to look at how the combat was in DAO again...at times boring.

I really like how your companions are doing their own thing in different parts of the city instead of squatting at your place/ HQ, or, what I like to call, "waiting on the airship." It gave the illusion that they are living their own lives in Kirkwall and not just waiting for Hawke to say she needs them.

Loved the new conversation wheel and the symbols. I would like to see more options in the future if possible, like a reluctant option, a cranky option, a don't care option etc. etc. Even a lazy option.

I also liked how difficult it is to please all of your companions. Seemed like I was always getting rivalry points for someone on my team that didn't approve of what I was doing. Which is just awesome because once you can get everyone to like you on DAO it was difficult not to do it.

I also liked how your companions got special abilities for both Friend and Rival. And I like how those abilities are different also.

Neutral:

The Companion Outfits: The fact that I couldn't change their outfits didn't bother me so long as I can always change my character's outfit/armor. I did like the armor upgrades for them, but I would have preferred to choose what upgrade to put on what character since I couldn't give them different armor. Instead of specific character upgrades just have a bunch of different upgrades for everyone and that gives us the ability to customize them. Personally I don't mind if the main character has a specific outfit they wear so long as I can decide what that outfit does while upgrading it.

The Story: For a story that spans about 10 years it is really good, but it wasn't as epic feeling as Origins or ME stories are. This is probably because ME story involves the whole galaxy and DA:O involved the whole kingdom of Ferelden, whereas DAII only had Kirkwall the threat throughout the game seemed less world shaking. I was afraid when it was announced that DAII was spanning over 10 years. I have never played a game where that worked out. Xena Gears on PSone ruined the idea for me and Fable II was ....ok, and I'm being generous. But I am happy that nothing felt rushed, or that huge gaps of time was jumped around. I like how the game is set in different acts and the transitions were done very well. For the most part I enjoyed the story.

Kirkwall: At first I was nervous about playing a game that took place in one city, but this is a big freaking city! And the story does a great job of not making you feel like the world is small, there is stuff going on everywhere and really there isn't a need for Hawke to go anywhere else, and you don't feel a need to do so.

Crafting: I liked the crafting system in DAII. Not better than DAO, but I did like it. A lot of people said it was dumbed down, and it is easier but at the same time you can only do it in specific places and I liked that aspect. I didn't like having to keep every piece of crap I found in DAO with limited inventory space just because it wasn't a crafting ingredient that could be bought in bulk. I actually like how Hawke could just order in potions or runes.

Dislikes:

Well you know its a good game when you get to the dislike section and I actually have to rack my brain for some.

The reuse of maps only slightly annoyed me, but has been done in ME, ME2 and DAO so I didn't find it that big of a deal.

My game froze a couple times when looting. Thankfully I am an avid save junkie and was never too far from the freeze. At first I though it could have been my xbox but it only happened when I was looting, and only like three times, but still may be something you want to look in to.

There is some trouble with targeting the loot off of bodies. I can't toggle the target for the loot when companions get in the way, which did annoy me.

No Arcane Warrior.....I cried. I cried a lot. I'm still crying.

That's about it. There wasn't much about the game that I really disliked to the point I needed to complain on the forums. Some things are strictly opinion and game play style. The game was great and I really enjoyed it. In fact I will be starting my second playthrough in a few.

I think this thigs are the worst step back of the game, and the interfaces are more suited to a megaman x game than a medieval fantasy game... they are totally WRONG.
