Incorrect Timestamps for Saved Games

Hi, my saved games are showing incorrect timestamps, of date 7/1/2011, which is it not right now. The time is also wrong. My XBox 360 Slim shows the correct time, and I can tell that Dragon Age 2 is logged into XBox Live, as the connected announcements show in the main screen. Other games, include Dragon Age 1, which I save on the same official 250 hard drive, show the correct time stamp.

I'd appreciate any help, or a patch if this is a bug. Thanks!

I've been having this problem as well. Same date, in fact. Any chance you've had trouble with shields stacking?

I'm not sure if I've had problems with shields stacking. EA has recommended 2 solutions so far: letting the system time reset by turning off the modem for a power cycle, and clearing the XBox 360 system cache. Neither solution has worked.

They just said that they are escalating the issue to the next level.

While exceptionally unlikely, if you have a brand new console (as in, a new model) and you completely turn it off (so not even the standby light is on through the adaptor ) then your console could be reverting back to factory standards, as soon as you log into xbox live though, it would auto-correct to the right time (based on your settings when you set it all up in the first place -- ie, what region information, what GMT etc, etc).

I have a pretty old xbox, the old 20gb pro, and if I turn it off completely and turn it on, the console resets to factory settings for the time etc (but maintains individual customisation choices, such as: I bought my console in Australia etc, etc). If I save a game before I log back into xbox live, then the timestamp for the game will report it as being saved at some (constant) date back in 2005.

No, that isn't what is occuring, at least for me. When I am playing signed into live, when I save the timestamp is still wrong.

Just wanted to say....Bioware you can list this as an ALWAYS for bugs. At this frequency it should have been caught..but I know EA loves to make the deadlines/release dates even if it means certain bugs are released with the game. I should know, I tested at EA Canada in Burnaby for some games. BTW, It would be nice if BIOWARE would just have an announcement to all the users that a patch in works to address all platforms. Just keep all the DragonAge users informed. Good PR goes a long way. My initial rating for this games was fantastic (just like all the reviews are at the start up page on dragonage.com) but after running into the slow down bug and other various ones, I would give this game a 6 out of 10. I have to stop playing this game due to these problems. Does that make sense? Usually when you buy a game, you'd like to play it.

THREE WEEKS and STILL no fix or even ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that this is a problem. Wow. This is truly appalling.

This is an issue that has popped up a few times on these forums, unfortunately there is no solution to this issue that we can do on our end. Hopefully the fix will be in the upcoming patch

Another strange glitch... I was wondering why my file said September, but I guess it's common.

I have this happening too. It's weird. My Xbox 360 shows the correct time and date. DA2 saves are having a problem with time and date stamps.

Which is also why the "Load last save" is not working when you die, auto-saves are not seen as the date is wrong, it only sees your last MANUAL save cos of the save # on it.

I am getting the wrong time on mine. Not the wrong day, just wrong time. Load last save works fine on my system.

Hey Luke, any idea what will be IN the patch, as in what issues it is aimed at, as no one at all has said a word from BW

While I can't tell you the specifics just yet (and believe me, I'm trying to get this out to everyone ASAP) I can say that it contains a very large number of fixes.

Thanks Luke !

I think it is odd btw that there are like 20-30 moderators on this forum, but you only ever see the same 5-6 ever posting.

Is the list out of date ?

A lot of them are just sending individuals PMs instead of replying directly in the threads.

ahh that makes sense.

I think the biggest gripe people are having is that no one seems to be saying "hey we know of x issue and x issue, we are working on it, and the patch should be coming out within x days/weeks" even a "we have sent the patch to MS to be approved" or anything.

Its the total absence of any feedback that I beleive is annoying people.
