 I'm not too worried about most of the negative stuff. Some of what people are calling 'bad' about DA2 actually sounds pretty good to me, e.g.: I like the companions having specific outfits because I often found the characters in DAO looking kind of same-y, all wearing various shades of brown and grey. I also think the over-the-top combat animations are pretty entertaining, and certainly more interesting than the sluggish combat of DAO.
The things that bothered me in the demo like the paraphrased dialogue options aren't going to ruin the game for me. I'm not expecting DA2 to be perfect, I just want it to be fun. Of course, I'm a console player so what would I know about a good game?

doesnt help that human nature means our eyes immediately go to the title... then we think "oh c**p shouldnt have read that"... then again its not our fault that these people have nothing better to do with themselves other than troll arouns ruining things for the vast majority of other people!... im still over excited about the game so some harm no foul

Mine has finally been updated to "Shipping Soon."  Don't know if they'll get it out the door today, though.

I think you'll get it tomorrow afternoon there is usually another shipping around 6pm( tho i dont know how many posts you get a day) If not you'll probably get it friday morning then.

It's probably for the best you dont get it untill friday anyway, Its my day off and the SE box is just sitting there beside me ,taunting me with its shinyness...FUUUUUU!

get an Ip changer ffs, even the free versions make your IP look like an US one and dang, your game gets validated, just deactivate it before you proceed to enter your account information and so on, it is just necessary for the date validation process

not really, i was looking at topics 1 by 1 but as soon as you read part of it you can guess the rest. They know this that is why they try to ruin the game for people. They just must be incredibly sad individuals and i wish great pain on them and their families. Hopefully some sort of disease that deteriorates their body over time.

If your a PC player, news is not good ...No isometric camera making AoE spells a right pita to launch... Then the known bugs with import flags getting reset and/or corrupted during play..
My copy was posted yesterday from the UK. I live in Italy, so it will be next week before I receive it. Just as well, cos I will hold off installing until the nvida card / dx11 issues are sorted and hopefully a hotfix or patch is released...

DO NOT enter brothersoft.com or download anything from there. Extremely harmful website, almost all of the data hosted there is distributed with malware and/or spyware. Same goes for most free VPN-clients floating around. It's not worth the risk.

Those whining are likely the usual shooter fans who want the same tired shooter they get all the time or those just wanting attention.

I'm disappointed at the sound of it being dumbed down, games are dumbed down enough as it is these days in order to cater to those who complain if they don't get their hand held all the way through a game and everything done for them.

I hope the game will be decent, enjoyed DA:O a lot, still enjoying it. But I am worried.

LOL - but letøs see. Even though the dialog wheel aditions sound like a dumb down I head there would be more dialog options in DA II. Just remeber to set settings to hard.

I've ordered from first class from amazon.co.uk too and its now Wed 9th evening time and it's status is still not yet dispatched. Im starting to worry a bit about this as others have said they have got their copies from there already.
I dont know how things work in large buisnesses like that but i ordered on Nov 1st, is it possible its been overlooked because it was ordered so long ago or something?

I knew it would not be a sequel but a new game in
the dragon age world.

And to this i still look forward, a lot actually.

From Spain, I'm quite "worried". My game was dispatched yesterday and I'm feeling I'll regret buying signature edition and not waiting for the Deluxe Edition 2 years latter (and even not buying it!)

Reading the reviews I can see 3 points of view:
1st This is marvellous
2nd This is the worst thing ever
3rd Disapointed people but not making a "Greek Tragedy" from this.

After playing the demo and reading the reviews (both professionals and fanmade) I think I'll be in the 3rd group, despite of the good marks in professional reviews, after reading them deeply I have the feeling there are many, many flaws in the game, more than the mark may suggest.
There may be sincere people in both 1st and 2nd group, but I detect a lot of faboism (and antifanboism), somehow (and i remark, after playing the demo) the 3rd group seems to be closer to reality.

I saw many things in the demo that I didn't like, but I had the hope that they would be improved in the reatil version, doesn't seem so......

I'm still excited about the game despite of all the BS flying around the forums.

It was a bummer thought that I didn't realize to figure out the EU release date. Thought it was the 8th and drove 20km to a nearby city after work to get the game but found no copies on the shelves. I went all FUUUUUUUU and drove 20km back home dead tired...only to get onto the internet and check the date of 11th. LOL my day was so ruined! I even had a cider in the fridge I could drink while enjoying the game, haha.

But just checking something...it said in the release thread that Western Europe has a release date of the 10th. This covers Finland, right? At least some magazine had an add with that date on it but I don't trust those much.

I would like to add something to my previous post.

I've read that all secondary dungeons are exactly the same (both graphically and the map), I consider this to be a MAJOR FLAW (and one of the worst ponts in ME1, fortunately fixed in ME2), this gives the impression that the game has been "rushedly" (from rush, is this correct?) done to earn more money......

Same for me. I ordered my copy recently though but it status hasn't changed which is relatively worrying for me if they haven't even dispatched it for people who have ordered it months ago...

Same situation here. It doesn't even say dispatching soon ... and I paid extra for first class delivery ...

I could have had it saturday but I chose not to drive over and get it so my mate loaned it to someone else. Kind of wish I had now if only to get it over with and move on.

All the hate is making actually making me more excited about the game to be honest. Mostly because I tend to love games that other people hate, also lots of the hatin is coming from the sceptics so it must be good.

The beta drivers on the Nvidia page reportedly fix the DX11 issues. Bit annoyed about the import issues, but I'd just be using one of the defaults for my first playthrough anyway. Hopefully they'll get it sorted reasonably soon. The AOE targeting (at least when paused) isn't that hard once you're used to it, going by the demo. All the targets in the AOE ring are highlighted (names/health bars) when you place it.

I wouldn't get worried about no dispatch from Amazon.co.uk, I almost always get my games from them and have always had the dispatch day be the day before release when I choose first class delivery.

If you don't have an update to shipping soon around 4pm tomorrow and an email about dispatch by 6pm tomorrow, then I'd be a little more worried.

I avoid beta video drivers, too many issues with them in the past, so will wait for the next official driver release...
I usually play rogue classes and from the demo I found the AoE arrow functionality very clunky. Could just be me, but I was not impressed. Also was gobsmacked at what they did with rogue combat, and was going to cancel my SE pre-order. Work stuff came up, and I forgot to do it, then I received the email from Play.com telling me they posted it... Now I am stuck with (and paid for) a game I do not particularly want, and it is a pita to ship it back to the UK...
