I'm still excited about the game despite of all the BS flying around the forums.

It was a bummer thought that I didn't realize to figure out the EU release date. Thought it was the 8th and drove 20km to a nearby city after work to get the game but found no copies on the shelves. I went all FUUUUUUUU and drove 20km back home dead tired...only to get onto the internet and check the date of 11th. LOL my day was so ruined! I even had a cider in the fridge I could drink while enjoying the game, haha.

But just checking something...it said in the release thread that Western Europe has a release date of the 10th. This covers Finland, right? At least some magazine had an add with that date on it but I don't trust those much.

Least my digital preorder opens up forth coming night. (yes i live in Finland) Not sure bout physical releases bute least gamestop.fi has it on release date 10.03.2011

I'm in Ireland, so I will be getting the game on the 11th but I ordered from Steam so I can start playing tomorrow night, if I'm not that exhausted after work. Will probably end up messing around with the CC and be found snoring at my computer on Friday morning, hope the drool doesn't do any damage.

The reviews of the game have been mostly positive. Most reviewers have pointed out they find some of the streamlining of certain mechanics dissapointing... I'll see for myself, I doubt it will bother me to much, ME2 had a simpler inventory system but I still loved  the game even though I was wary of the changes. The forums were funny at first with all the ridiculous bickering, but that got boring pretty quick. Same old things I've seen many times before on game release week... yawn.

-_-

The Feedback is really depressing me. Never-the-less I still have my pre-order ready. If it's been f*cked up...there will be no survivors.

Still really depressing that pirates in the UK have been playing this since Tuesday.. and here I am still waiting for my steam pre order to unlock...

Surely a worldwide unlock would reduce piracy some what...

It should be coming out on the 10th in Finland. My local Gamestop called me earlier and told me I could pick it up on Thursday, so at least they're selling it.

As to the feedback, most of the reviews seem to agree on what the strengths and weaknesses of the game are and the strengths seem to be exactly what I love so much in Bioware games, so can hardly wait to pick it up and start playing.

I'm getting quite worried as well, I've already been training myself for a while now not to see this as the sequel to DA:O but rather another game in the Dragon Age world.  However there are consistant themes appearing in both reviews and feedback that have me concerned.  Still I have it pre-loaded now (just waiting for the release) so there isn't any going back now, I'm still hoping it's going to be a fun game, even if I'm fairly certain it's not going to be the great and immersive RPG experience Origins was.

Seriously? Do they consider they are Asians then? Americans? Africans? What? Or do they think GB is a continent lol.

I'm waiting for my Signature Edition from play.com. They dispatched it a couple of days ago, so it should come through my door on Friday.

The reaction to the game hasn't surprised me at all. Dragon Age: Origins was an excellent game, but it had flaws. Those flaws haven't been fixed in Dragon Age 2 from what I can see, rather the plus points of Origins have been taken away. I thought the demo was just awful. The thing is, I don't mind the thought of a Mass Effect-ised Dragon Age, because I love those games. But Mass Effect has class and an excellent art design. The demo was just brown, with exploding darkspawn.

I am damn pissed, and moreso with this freaky "ur EU u wait lulz" I see no acceptable reason. I feel totally like

Image IPB

I would be so very very happy had I bought DA2 with final patch and and all DLCs from el cheapo bin in year 2013. 20€ would had been good price of completely finished game.

Generally speaking its always been teh Dragon age 2 world thats interested me... It so immersive and everyone has to realise theres more going on in the world than "your grey warden". So yes similar to you i am looking at it as an extension to the DA world and not just a direct sequel. Im almost positive it will be a fun game :)
