After completing the "intro" section of the game, i headed to galen's house to pick up my promo items.  when exiting the house, it prompted me to select my party, and i selected bethany and varic, but was physically unable to highlight or select Aveline.  Does anyone have a solution or workaround?  Many thanks

You need to go talk to her in town first. Info should be in your quest log.
