it's sad that they're completely ignoring this serious issue. I'd trade the game in after completion but I'd probably get like $20 for it. what a bummer.

I set my display setting to wide screen on my xbox 360 and it fixed most of the problems, like the cutscenes look a lot better, and there is no flickering, the characters look kind of squished but at least I can see the top of my characters heads during the cutscenes. It makes the game playable at least and it looks close to being fixed, so guys try changing your xbox display setting to widescreen and see what happens it fixed a lot of the SD video issues for me :)

Yeah ^ I did that too, not really an ideal solution...I hope there is a fix for this. Goddamn Bioware.

The widescreen thing fixes a lot of the problem like its really close to normal. Still it makes no sense how Bioware can **** this up, like their ****ing demo had no problems, but the full game does!? Really dissapionted in you Bioware... :(

Really, lots of disappointments with DA2, same areas reused over and over, no longer able to equip armor to party members, no real skill based or stat based dialog choices and very limited dialog choices at that. Overall it's a hugely sub-par release and does not do Mass Effect, DA1/Awakening or even Jade Empire justice. Why in the world would they reduce a hugely promising sequel to this....

I think it's because they tried to improve the real game's textures over the demo, I'd rather have the slightly duller version over this one. $65 I payed for this buggy crap, $65 effing dollars.

and haven't even stickied any of these threads so they obviously don't care.

I've tried it on two different TVs, including a decent HDTV and I'm still getting the flickering problem. I played through the game once with all these graphic issues but I don't want to play it again until this problem gets fixed. It just really ruins the experience for me.

I agree. I've beaten it, but am waiting for it to get fixed to replay it.

I cant believe there's been no response to this thread yet. Something needs to be done about this. The problem isnt just going to go away. Alot of people feel short changed regarding this issue, and there are lesser problems mentioned in threads that Bioware has given attention to. Come on guys, throw us a friggin bone here.

This thread should be stickied.

The flickering on character models isn't just on SDs.  I'm playing on an HDTV and it's happened to me more than I can count.  4-5 times in one cutscene during Act 3.

Really? For my SD TV when I put it to widescreen it fixed pretty much all the cutscene issue, no flickering or anything. The only thing I can noticed is sometimes during the cutscene they are to zoomed to their faces. Im sorry for everybody that are getting more problems then I do, that really sucks. For me setting my display setting to widescreen fixed like 90% of the problem. Still its really retarted how bioware can have a glitch like this, its probably because they tried to improve the textures for the full game and we got screwed over because of that.

They posted in another thread on this topic that they were 'looking into this and other bugs.' Still, it was not stickied, and that was two weeks ago. At the very least, they should tell us if they're NOT fixing the bug. It's be like not giving system specs for a pc game. If the game doesn't run properly on a SDTV, and they aren't going to fix the problem, then by definition it is 'running as intended' and the consumer should have been warned ahead of time.

Having said that, it seems like the easiest thing in the world for them to fix, since the demo didn't have this problem.

I don't get any of the distortion but I do get the flickering... which is very annoying...  hopefully Bioware fixes it, I've heard it's been an issue for all versions (the flickering.)

And for those complaining about the text... I don't think Bioware will ever fix that.

I've been trying to get an answer out of tech support at EA, but it's going nowhere fast.

Bump! This problem is not just going to go away.

Plus its not showing up on the  "Major 360 Issues" Thread which is total BS I cannot think of a larger bug in this game.

If they would add it to the Major Issues list, it would make me feel loads better.

I think the fact they left it out shows they aren't willing to even bother fixing it. =/

This issue, as well as auto-attack arent on the list. The two things I wanted fixed. This game is so broken. They must have done about 5 minutes of quality testing.

I call bull**** on all the QA names and Testers. There is no way all those people could of played and tested it and not seen all these serious issues. My boyfriend made a joke and said they probably lied so they wouldn't get fired. <_<

*Hopes she doesn't get banned for that comment.* ;~;

It's so strange that a company like Bioware would let something that reflects very poorly upon a game go unaddressed. 2 weeks and not even a twitch of concern, at least have the decency to apologize to fans who spent their hard earned cash on this broken game in maybe a tweet that is one sentence long. Something, anything. Instead they'll just ignore it.

Tried it in wide screen and the problem did go away. Text is even a bit bigger, though that may just be my television.

No game sites are covering it and Gamestop isn't going to give you your money back, why would Bioware need to even bother.

I think what makes this worse is this is actually a possible medical risk, to photosensitive epileptics. Mine personally isn't this. (Mine is stress induced.) But the frequency it flickers at times would possibly trigger an attack for another.
