I have zero faith that they're actually going to fix this issue. I suppose I should ask them to patch in new environments to up the count from the three they used in the game, since it has as much of a chance of getting implemented. The longer this takes, the more annoyed I become by the lack of attention this obvious problem is getting.

I hope problems like this get fixed. It really bugs me when game companies don't fix things like this but they'll go and release a patch that'll fix a glitch that allows you to get extra money. I'd like to say "Well Bioware has so many other things to take care of they'll get to it when they can", and yes somethings do take time, but I've seen a number of posts regarding this issue and have never seen Bioware acknowledge it yet. I really hope ME3 isn't like this.

From what I heard the demo did not suffer from this issue, so hopefully when Bioware finally announce the patch this will be one of the fixes.

Maybe if we start copying all of this on Facebook and twitter (remember before the game came out they wanted us to talk it up on there) that will lite a fire under there collective butts, and get them to acknowledge our complaints

I tried playing on my sister's sdtv yesterday as I figured it would be easier than setting up the projector she has, and holy maker it was painful! Had to turn it off after less than five minutes.

I'd had the usual ME2 issues with my old tv but have recently been lucky enough to upgrade to a HD TV before DA2 came out, and I'm seriously thankful for that.

So even though the problem doesn't really effect me anymore, I'm behind you guys completely and hope they fix it for you soon :)

I'm on my second playthrough and I don't even notice it anymore...which probably means a bad thing...

I lost interest in the game.and it looks like they still haven't even addressed the issues. I'll be trading this in soon. This was my first Dragon Age game and what a rude welcome, I'm never buying anything Dragon Age related again.

Best of luck to our worthy opponents at Mojang. Independent developers have always helped to foster and drive creativity and innovation in our industry. We have a lot of Minecraft fans here at BioWare -- two of our employees even got engaged in the game! May the best studio win!

You can vote in the finals HERE"

How about you provide some customer support and fix the game before asking for us to support you in some sort of popularity contest. By the way you DON'T have my vote!!

"We cannot reveal to you the exact contents of the patch until it passes certification. We can say that there are more than 100 fixes including gameplay, quest and platform specific issues. We can also say that the implementation of auto-attack on both Xbox 360 and PS3 is included. When we can reveal the patch notes, we will let everyone know".

I can only hope one of the platform specific issues mentioned by Chris Priestley, includes the SDTV problem on the 360. I actually have a tiny shred of hope that this just might be one of the fixes in the upcoming patch.

Amen. I have confidance that this issue will be solved eventually. But still, an acknowledgment that they have at least noticed that this is an issue would be nice.

The only thing we'll hear form them is that they cant say what there doing (if anything at all), oh and theirs some kind of game reviewers popularity contest that BioWare want us to vote for DA2 on, even though the game is broken.

BioWare you have had 5 weeks to fix this game and not only have you not fixed it you have said that you cant say what or when it will be fixed. Everyone of us here paid full price for a game that could arguably be classified as a beta version, not a finished product. I have been a customer of yours for several years now and i have to say that this is the first time that i am truly disgusted by my experience with you. Fix the game Don't fix it I just don't care any more.
Goodbye

I'm having this issue as well, and it's made the game almost unplayable for me. I really hope the patch does something about this.

The only way to fix this problem since you're playing a SDTV like me is to set the xbox television display into "widescreen" instead of "normal."

That's not really a fix. It just stretches everything, not just the cutscenes.

For me I get fullscreen format during the cutscenes not the double black bar on the top and bottom. it's not stretched  during the cutscenes, but during gameplay it is stretched. odd isn't it, but it really isnt that bad. However, I forgot if it stops the stuttering or not.

Even without the black bar, it's still stretched. Believe me, I've tried. It just isn't as noticeable since the whole game is stretched along with it. If the patch doesn't fix this then I guess I'm just going to have to not play.

I guess it is different between SDTVs. Whenever I play in widescreen format on my t.v. the cutsceens look fine as it were actually fullscreen not stretched.

ok.. maybe it's just my SDTV ( it's a high end events industry special ), but not got this.

my box is set for widescreen ( my tv is rigged screen wise for 16:9 / 2.35:1 format especially ) and can run up to 100hz scanrate.

if your tv has a smart or auto-adjust setting for screen ratio set it to that, it'll sort out dropped frames ( what you're calling the snap/glitching) and also clipping of the edges. from what you' guys are describing it's a problem with the signal decoder in the TV, we get it a lot in film work when we're trying to run modern day feeds into an older CRT.

next go to the 360 and into the video settings and if you've a 16:9 screen switch to widescreen, if not leave it on normal then go into scan rate on the 360 and set it for the highest option that will display on your TV ( for me -it's pal 60).

and TBH unless something is coded with anamorphic video the whole stretching matter is always gonna happen, it's why techies never buy DVDs that aren't either 2.35:1 ana or 16:9 and we don't own 4:3 tellies ( and usually never have since Trinitron FSTs got invented ) and went 2.35:1 full HD asap unless you've got something like this

http://www.dooyoo.co...onic-tx-36pl30/ (for illustration purposes, [i am unaffiliated with any web businesses due to being too busy working in events and music], it's the retail version of my Presentation Acuity SR3 Quintrix-42 )
