Slow animation bug
wrong import choices bug

I know this will probally sound a bit whiney but im not going to play Dragon age 2 until a patch has been released because for me the bugs are just ruining it for me. Hopefully we'll have a patch before April.

Okay, I've finished the game twice now and, although I do like it, this has to be the most glitch-riddled Xbox 360 game I've ever played.

I'm pretty frustrated and disheartened by the glitches and bugs I've encountered in DA2, but, for me, Fallout New Vegas remains the gold standard in glitched, broken, and otherwise fun-killing gameplay.

I don't know how about you, but it's quite strange that we don't have an ETA.
Funny how we were pressed to download the demo, pre-order the SE or have enough likes on facebook within a strict deadline... What about these deadlines now, after we've bought something which should work properly?!

We're looking into these, and other issues. We do not currently have an ETA for a patch.

There will not be a patch by the end of the week - the time it takes between leaving the hands of internal testing (once we come up with a solution), through the distribution process and into your hands is more than a week alone, and completely outside our control.

Then answere me this question.  Why did your company release a faulty product in ther first place?

i hate to be the one to break it to you, but you REALLY need to update your technology. 'Standard Deffinition' is no longer standard for video games, movies, or television. Reach way down deep and pull your head out of the hole you've been living in for the last eleven years. Now reach way, way down deep and get a 47" LED from wallyworld for $600, give your ancient-tech SDTV to a homeless person (tell him it's a time machine and that he should use it to go back and fix his life). Or give it to one of those emo-hipster brats still clinging to an Atari 2600, and poof!

So did you parents buy you one to go with that silver spoon in your mouth?

16 days and counting is an awfully long time for what should have been a day 1 patch.

Not trying to be an ass or anything, but this really just isn't acceptable.

Slow animation bug is the most important fix for me, I cannot stand it. Others I can get around, I can just not use the Maker's Sigh respec potion, but that glitch workaround revolves around either completely disregarding one of the companions or purposely not choosing options that she agrees with.

I really want to enjoy this game - I have been so far, but some of these bugs are terrible.

I'm honestly shocked that there hasn't been a response on the issues in this thread. Bioware/EA sold me a broken product.

If I can't get a bioware response on the patch ETA, I'd like for someone from Bioware to advise me whom I can contact at EA regarding a full purchase price refund for this broken product I have been sold. They can have the game back and my receipt.... I honestly don't care about completing this broken piece of crap.

Where you able to get a refund?

seems like there was more bugs than at first thought so this has probably pushed the patch delay.Only problem I have had so far is ''makers sigh'' issuing out 3 specializiation points and Im only level 14! the other thing is no injuries to Hawke. Not a bug but can we have quick weapon swap back ,sucks being a a rogue using archery abilities while waiting on assassin cooldown having to always press start>inventory>scroll across>scroll down.

it takes time to track these issues down and fix them then get the proposed fixes tested thoroughly so they don't break other parts of the game.

I have a couple quests glitch and not drop the key to the door just save before you start the quest then if you need to save mid quest save on a new file. if the quest qlitches like mine load the save before you started. my example quests.(Bait And Switch)and(The one to break into the amell family vault) in both cases the key didn't drop so i loaded re did them andwolla they dropped. other than those my exiled prince acheivements won't pop up even though i got them unlocked. and half of my signature edition content doesn't show up. the whole tv thing well i was lucky to get a 22" 1080p led tv for christmas or i would be in that boat aswell.

Time that should have been spent before the game was released...  I would have understood a pushed back release date.  What I don't understand is releasing a game with obvious bugs.  And yes, I'd still like an ETA on this patch.  If I don't get an update within the next month or so, I'm going to pester as many people as I can in an attempt to get a refund on my broken product as well.

Mind you, I don't want to hate the game.  What I was able to play before my game bugged out was quite fun.  But it was truly not tested properly.  There's just no arguing that.

For me, this is much much worse. Now, don't get me wrong New Vegas is way more broken technically.

But it also has a much much better excuse. It's a gigantic sprawling epic game in an extremely flawed game engine that Obsidian had to use by necessity.

This is a sequel, and it's much smaller and more focused even than the first game. It can't be compared to the scope of Fallout. How does it turn out so much glitchier? It's hard to come up with an answer that isn't horrific incompetence.

Atleast Bethesda made a public apology on Obsidians behalf, and had a uber patch to fix 200-300 odd scripting bugs in the game.

I literally heard about zero bugs from the reviews until I started playing the game for myself, and have refused to play it since until it's patched (Completed it once mind you, just to get a view of the story)

Well I think I might be done with this game until it gets patched - it's just not worth the effort to me to keep playing and go out of my way to avoid the Isabella friendship bug getting worse. Too bad too because I was really starting to finally get over this not being a true sequel and enjoy DA2 for what it is.

Hopefully Bioware rectify the situation ASAP or else I might lose interest entirely. Bah, and I had such high hopes for this series...

I haven't put more than 2 hours into the game yet, im not interested in ruining my first playthrough dealing with game-breaking bugs. If it doesn't get patched very soon however, i'll just find a way to return it for a refund. I see no reason the people paying the most for the game end up being the real beta testers. It's kind of sad though, as I'm sure that many of these bugs were well known about before the release but they went through with it anyway.

If there isn't some kind of update on Monday or Tuesday, I'm going to start getting pissed. At least say you've sent the patch to Microsoft for approval.

Yup. In the future I'll just wait for the eventual Ultimate Edition of any BioWare game that catches my eye, and let some other poor sap do their post-release play testing.

This shouldn't be allowed to continue. I'm so tired of the blah blah poor software developers excuses. Way to treat your customers Bioware. Why do gamers put up with this and why don't the gaming press help us out a little bit here?

Need patch xbox 360 version. Makers sigh potion corrupts "jump to tactic" and "use current condition for next tactic". X^D. Doesn't work at all.

First before starting my rant, I have enjoyed all the games that Bioware has put out. Great engaging story and gameplay. I WANT to believe in their ability to put out a quality product. KoTOR was a fantastic game, ME1 was amazing and ME2 blew my mind. So with that said, "Balls to you, Bioware!" These bugs are absolutely unacceptable. Re-iterating what other folks have said, why should I pay good money plus tax plus foolishly pay for DLC only to have these game breaking bugs attached to them. DA:O was also filled with bugs, although none quite so awful that I couldn't work around them. (I'm not going to get into the Witch Hunt DLC discussion :P) Is your testing group asleep at the wheel? With the Slow animation bug happening to so many players crossing over all the platforms, How the hell can this be missed in testing? Never mind the myriad of other problems plaguing this game! BOTTOM LINE: Patch this soon or for the love of all that is good and holy in this world, communicate with your fan base. And next time around, don't release it until these issues are fixed. I don't care if it gets delayed, as long as it's done right the first time. Alright, I'm getting off my soapbox now. Thanks.

Considering how buggy the game is it will probably take several months to patch even half the problems!
You would hope that fixing the friendship bugs which effectively make the game unplayable would be a fairly high priority.
However the complete lack of communication (outside of 'we are aware of the problem') is pathetic.
I love Biowares games but would avoid pre-ordering one ever again in case of a repeat.

been skimming through and it doesn't seem they want to give us answers about the patch until they know %100 when and what, which is fair i suppose. However, by this point the "whens at whats" should be well known. Please inform. (hides flamethrower)

I took a while for Origins to get patches on the consoles too. Certification itself takes about two weeks, I think. I bet it's released by the first or second week of April
