I Keep getting a "Drive: A is unavailable...." error when I attempt to log into my EA account in Dragon Age 2 and even after clicking try again or continue (which seems to let the game go past the error and log in) I'm unable to access my Download content  for download, and no profiles are uploading to the site.

I should note that I have turned off my windows firewall and I've both tried giving full permissions to the game in my Anti-virus's firewall and turnign off that firewall to be sure the game isn't getting blocked. I'd try checkign the prot forwardign in my router but don't know what ports to use. Funny that DA:O never had this problem...

I'm having the same issue. I'm going to go play around some more with it, see what I can find. Not sure why it's trying this though.

Very true I have no Drive A at all (isn't that for those really old floppy drives?) so why is it trying to find it and what does that have to do with internet access?

Having the exact same problem. I also got an error when starting it for the first time that it hadn't installed properly. Doing a re-download/reinstall now.

This was on the Steam version, if it matters.

Mines purchased from a Gamestop store so I doubt the steam/non-steam thing matters at all but it was a thought.

I'm wondering if this drive checking error thing has to do with the fact I installed to a drive other than Drive: C anyone able to confirm if this is the cause of the issue or not?

Do you have any virtual drives hooked up or any external drives? Basically anything that would constitute a drive of any kind that is not your HDD.

Mine's on Drive C: so that's not it. Vista 64 here, even running as Admin and still the same bullocks.

I have no virtual drives at all so that isn't it.

I found another fix go to your install folder and in the Bin-ship (or whatever it is called) folder and if runnign vista or Windows 7 (like me) right click the dragon age 2 application then go to properties and then compatibility. Set the game to run in admistrator mode. Do this also for the configeration utility and the Launcher. That seems to fix the Drive A error from occurring.

Now if only the damn thing would download my DLC content... Well time to find the solution to that problem.

I tried suggestion posted in linked thread, switched from DX11 to DX9.  No issues with drive error now, at least so far.  It will work for me for the time being at least.

I've been running mine in DX9 mode for a while cause of the "full Screen error in DX11" bug that is in other posts and I still get this error so you might have the delayed reaction thing going on that my attempt of a fix with "Run As Administrator" fix did. Double Check that your actually logged in with in the game and I bet you will get the error again just as I did and still am.

It says I am linked, but who knows. I had to d/l the Black Emporium manually since it wasn't showing up in-game.  However, all the unlocked items were.
