Yeah sorry I did not put the link before . I was just not expecting this . If JV say its 12 out of 20 then It is 12 out of 20 for me .

Please tell me you're trolling.....

I have been using jeuxvideo.com for 15 years now , and not ounce was I not 100% with what they where saying . Please do not use the "troll" expression to much . A troll is someone that INSULTS on internet ... Did I insult ? No ... So I wasnt trolling ... ^_^

So for fifteen years you made your own opinion out of something you read on web. Wow, now i understand why  you always agree with them. I mean, if JV.om  say it’s bad you don’t try the game lol! . Anyway, sorry if I’m blunt, but you’re a sheep….

Dragon Age Origins was 18/20 with JV. / Now DA2 : 12/20
Canard pc : 5/10
Jvn 14/20

The common negative point: the dubbing and translation.

Bioware had already warned of the inconsistency of certain phrases, certain responses in the dialogues of the demo. If the game is translated and dubbed in the final game like this demo, ouch.....

Actually if someone's opinion agreed with mine for 15 years, that isn't sheepish behavior.

now if EVERYONE loved it, and one person still hold on to his/her opinion that the game is bad, that is also not sheepish behavior.

Just as it is not necessarily sheepish if everyone loved it and you loved it as well.

I hope BIOWARE learn from this horrible horrible mistake . Like the test point out , they barly had time to work on it , its normal it does not deliver ! :crying:

Just a crazy idea here.....but maybe, instead of listening to someone and taking their word as 100% concrete fact, maybe you can play the game yourself and form your own opinion?  Again, I know its crazy!  Just give it a try!  I only played 2 hours so far, and i'm having a lot of fun with it.  I'm sure i'll continue to do so.

And yeah, when is 85-90+% a bad score?  The "zomg bribe" money.....please.  I'm sure major game reviewers get some cool things in the mail along with a game, but I doubt they get new benz's for giving it an 8.5-9.0.

This is a result of what happens when you build your expectations up to a level where they will be impossible to meet.  You did it to yourself.  Grats.

Hmmm, just checked on Metacritic for the xbox version and although the general consensus seems to be positive.

Ofc I am looking forward to this game, thus making me incapable of appreciating "true and fair" reviewers and instead rendering me a senseless orb of hype.

It's no big secert that I perfer The Dragon Age storyline over the combat any day of the week and twice on sundays. I hope they did not become so focused on making the combat a "Win-win" for people they ignored the storyline because if they did such I would be a little frustrated.

I feel like yelling in the face of those people who complained about combat "We want more hard, hardmodes, we want more itneresting combat" and telling them to go play a combat based RPG! Dragon Age 2 is known for the storyline's that's all I care about

If they overloaded this game with more combats then storyline I will be a little upset, because I have zero interest in the combat system and most if not all in the storyline features.

You guys, you kill me. It's been out 5 minutes. I'm amazed anyone on these forums has any toys left to through out of their pram.
You believe the reviews you choose to believe as if they are gospel, yet the good reviews you ignore because hey, you can't complain then can you! Except to say you disagree.
I sometimes wonder why any of you actually bother being here at all, I mean all many of you do is complain and complain and complain.
You complained about the first one and now you're complaining about the second one...

You whine about Bioware "selling out" to EA but how do you think games like this get funded and marketed? How do you think the modern games industry works? How naive are you?
Personally I can't wait to get my copy once it's released in Europe, I'm slightly jealous of those across the pond that they got it first.
Still if nothing else you've just proved the rule so congratulations for that. ;O)

Everyone who doesn't show a positive opinion of the game is a troll? Seriously? I've been seeing this trend on the forums a lot lately, and it's offsetting. Crying wolf doesn't work forever.

But you think DAO was good i presume? Yea, EA behind them at that time too...
Seriously it's not like DAO and other Bioware games have never got any bad reviews, the metecritic scores for DA2 are still good

The bad reviews keep pouring in. Good. Maybe Bioware will finally listen to someone because theyre obviously NOT listening to their fans and SUPPORTERS!

This is incredibly unfair towards Bioware. Last year they made the exact changes to Mass Effect 2 and were praised for it by the same reviewers. Hailed as the best RPG of the year and a revolution for the genre.

I didn't like the changes but that doesn't make this any less unfair. Naturally they will lissen to these reviews and change Dragon Age 2 as well. But now these reviewers are taking the popular vote and join in on the bashing. They are to blame for this as well, for praising ME2 into the heavens.

I don't want these changes but this bashing is going to far. People are now hating for the sake of hating.

that and mass effect was barley an rpg in the first place, but still a great game
i thought bioware was being smart: one rpg lite series, one rpg heavy series but they have to go screw the pooch

Then what's the point of reading a review? According to your crazy argument reviews should only mentally prepare me to play or not to play. They wouldn't dictate my choice!!

Just for information, Jv in France is one of the most lenient to rate video games, so some French fans were also somewhat shocked. =)

Did you see the last part of his post about the whole not serious part? And besides, it was the allied forces that won WW1 not just the french, and in the second WW the French gave the allies a battlefield so that is a plus right?

Rated on a scale of 1 - 20? What the hell kind of rating is that?

A French review doesn't hold much weight on an international scale.

OMG, the French people are so strange, they don't do everything like Americans ! I'll try to marginalize them.

You just made yourself look like a fool for assuming that I'm American. I'm not, and I did say on an INTERNATIONAL scale.

In DA: Origins, all outdoor levels were also corridor-like. The same is true for any (most) Bioware games at least since BG2. In DA: Origins, the outdoor areas clearly were corridors (paths) with some trees and greens scattered around.

As for inventory, I know some of you like to do inventory management. I, however, do not. At least not anymore. I think of the 100+ hours, I spent playing DA: Origins, I used at least 20+ hours to manage the inventory, comparing items to each other. I really don't have time to this anymore - inventory management in PC RPG games, I mean. Also, I think if you leave tactics on in the game, DA2, the game will be somewhat easy to play on normal, I think.

I also think the maybe European reviewers are using the review scale differently than the US reviewers. In France, at least a 7/10 (14/20) might just mean that this game is above average, while a 5/10 is an average game. In the US, I've seen 7 or 7.5 given for what the reviewers think is an average game. Hence we get the 9 or even 9.5 or 94/100.

Long ago, I started treating reviews as the opinions of (any) game journalists, not as the facts of life. Today, I personally rely only on user feedback or on the reviews from rpgsites such as
http://www.rpgwatch.com

The story isn't even good, it's the conversations that are good.
