I read that some rpg elements will return so i will wait and see what develops.
I also want a much better plot for ME3 and not like ME2.

More and more hesitant after the news from Game Informer...
It seems that the game has become even more linear and even more action oriented than ME2!!!
My hope was for a new ME1 ...or at least (AT LEAST!!!) a mix between 1 & the spin-off!
No, BiowEA is looking at uncharted/gear
The GI article talks about more options for combat AND a return of more RPG elements like deeper skill trees and weapon modifications, etc and you're saying it's getting more linear and action oriented? Despite the fact that they talk about having multiple ways to save earth and all your ME1/ME2 choices coming to fruition.
Are we reading the same article here? :-P

Lost all faith in EAware at Dragon Age 2. Doubt i'll buy ME3
when will you people grow up and admit that for once you asked for bioware to listen to your ideas, seriously grow a pair of balls and admit the reason why you wont blame yourselves is because its easy to blame the devs. if bioware or ea really **** on the fans they wouldve added multi player in me3. and honestly i cant think of any other company that gave pc fans a free copy of mass effect 2 and apologized for da2... if anything bioware does alot more good to the fans compared to other comapanies

haha sure buddy...^ ultimate bioware/EA fan
so your telling me that the fans had no part into why da2 or me2 were made the way they were? if i remember correctly alot of fans wined about the mako and elevators and bioware took them out. and regardless what bioware does people still ****. and im not a fanboy but i am getting sick and tired of people saying they know what the whole mass effect fanbase wants., the other bs i see on these forums is me2 wasnt an rpg........ if thats the case did we or did we not decide the outcome of the game? just because alot of rpg fans are d and d players or jprg fans dosent mean mass effect or dragon age for that matter needs to mimic every other rpg out on the market. i personaly dont care for dragon age because im not into the whole knights in shiney armor thing but seriously people let mass effect be something new otherwise its just gona be a scifi version of final fantasy

I actually think that Mass Effect 3 will be a wonderful combination of the things that made the first and second games wonderful.
Fingers crossed my estimation is not far off the mark.

multiple endings based on what you choose? yeah must be rpg only feature... fail
like i said no matter what bioware does the d and d fans will never be happy. i hated the inventory system in me1 when it came to the multiple same armors but do you see me crying about it? and for the people who say they wont buy mass effect 3 i call that bs because you know deep down your willing to pay 65 bucks and cry about it in the future

I certainly am, don't get me wrong I was a huge bioware fan, I bought and played ME1, ME2, and DA:O, since day 1 release. Check out my gamertag, I even play the KOTOR games from time to time. However, even though i enjoyed the original mass effect and dragon age, mass effect 2 left a very sour taste in my mouth. It is the only bioware game that i own that i have not played through twice, and it probably will stay that way. I still bought most of the dlc's because I am still in love with this great lore that bioware has created.
Now that we have seen how gamespot says that dragon age 2 has followed ME2 traditions with all the rpg systems stripped down to their bare minimum. I wonder since Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 2 were released relatively soon after the original games, obviously with EA's influence, if that was the ultimate reason to strip down all these crucial rpg elements like taking out free-roam planetary sections and giving the great Commander Shepard scanning duties. Now Mass Effect 3 is coming out, much sooner than probably any other bioware sequel...
So to that brings me to my main arguement, should we trust bioware to give us a fully immersive rpg game like the original mass effect, making it a guranteed first day purchase or will we get a cover-based third person shooter in exotic enviroments with minimum customisation options, making it a game that will go down to $20 in less than a year.
i didnt get da2 but i'v got me 1&2 although i prefer me1 than me2 i still like it but in me3 they are going to add more of the old rpg in due to fans complaining. fans also wanted a big battle for earth and bioware has delivered. so who said they don't lisen to our feedback?

Can't disagree more with the OP. ME1 was good, but ME2 was an improvement. I really don't understand why constantly going through inventory screens makes a game better
Lol well when you say it like that it makes it sound like we enjoy tediousness.
Having that inventory back would be awesome, it's just that it needed to be improved so there wasn't endless amounts of gear. People who loved ME1 love going through their new items and seeing what they could use, and it wasn't even constant lol.
