How would I get pyGFF to show directory structure?

When you open an .erf file pyGFF shows the content of it in small window. If you have the full database (the separate download in pyGFF project) then instead of just the hash names (the z_#? strings) you should see path/filename entry for each file. Similarly if you choose to extract whole .erf the files will be placed in their proper sub-folders.

Sorry for butting in, but I was wondering if it was possible to get Fenris's hairstyle on my main character ? any help would be awsome!

You could try opening Fenris' MOR and noting the name of the hair, then putting it in one of the chargen preset MOPs.

That's what I've been missing. Thanks for the tip!

I'm not too sure where to start, but I shall try, thank you :)

NewByPower's face replacer still works for DA2!!! so you can create faces in the DA2 character creator, save game and extract the .mor file, then chuck it back in teh face.erf directory as whatever npc yo wanna replace (n override etc)

NewByPower Face Replacer

Thanks for the info, but when I try setting a DA2 savegame as source, it gives me a huge error message in the DOS box (command line area) that ends with "list index out of range".

How did you set your source?

I have the same problem as well. Is there a solution?

Vera Mortem asked me to post this:

"For Armor and Weapons with low stats the easiest way to make them adequate is to equip save the game with the armor and weapons you want to fix then

1. Boot Up pyGFF
2. Open the save file
3. SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR -> SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR -> SAVEGAME_EQUIPMENT_ITEMS

Then it will show you the list of equipment you have on.

From there, open which ever one you want to edit then change the number in the index '16238' from 1-50.

The items are scaled to level so it would be suggested to go for whatever level you're at or around it for fair game."

Also, that Fenris' hair cannot be worn on Humans. One could download ChargenRevamp from TesNexus so that a Fenris Elf preset can be used, at the expense of body proportion.

Here's mine from revision 21: erfpack-rev21.zip

It's a commandline tool, but will work if you click and drag a directory onto ErfPack and generate dirname.erf.

Heya.

Tried downloading your program to give it a go, but cant seem to get it run on Windows 7 (ultimate if that matters),
no matter what i do. Got .net framework installed in correct version, but whenever i try to run the program, it just shows up for 1/3 of a sec, before closing again.. Any help please?:innocent:

Drag the folder with your .mor to the .exe. That should work, I am using 7 as well.

Aye, have it working in this manner on Windows 7 as well. More convenient than command line approach.

I was wondering if it's possible to extract one of the presets that were in the demo but never made it to the full game. Specifically the third modifiable female preset (the fifth if you count the two iconic ones). If anyone can help me with that, or at least direct me somewhere to the vicinity of the solution I'll be forever grateful.

Thanks for the help, guys.  It seems to work -- to a point. It seems the hairstyle and makeup comes through fine, but the actual facial structure is lost when putting .mor files in chargen. I added Isabela, Bethany and Cassandra to my presets and they all had identical facial structure, albeit with their custom hairs and makeups.

Still, a start. :)

After looking at mor/mop files, I was wrong, the file format *is* different, I'm not sure what led me to believe otherwise. However, It looks entirely feasible to write a MOP -> MORP converter after looking at the differences between hf_cgn_001.mor and hf_cgn_001.mop.

Might be slightly unrelated, but does someone know how to get rid of the 'companion armor' thing on the followers armors so that main character can equip them?

I can change the templateresref, but even if the model of the item supposedly changes, the character is still unable to equip it :(

Is there a way for me to get the face of my char from one char and "copy-paste" it into another game? I mean, I made a face for one of my chars which looks normal but heck if I can make it again. Since I know that I will play again with another char later to try different options and outcomes and do anything I missed the first time, I would like that new char to have also the same face as first one. Is there a way to do it, without debugging half of the game and using tens of different tools to do it? :)

If you own the Black Emporium DLC, the quickest way without downloading or modding anything at all is to use the mirror in there to view your character's appearance.  From there you can screenshot the sliders, and then when you make a new character, just set all the sliders to the screenshots.

As a kind of an in-joke:

A powerful necromancer toying with nature swapped the heads of Hawke's entire party and replaced them with zombie heads! Now they have to apply a lot of makeup and always try to hide the hideous neck scars...

Oh, man -- would be amazing, if you do decide to write it.  I know I'd be in your eternal debt.  ;D

@ demonic_cookie: You could try to extract the face you're looking for from the Dragon Age 2 Demo faces.erf.  Rename it as something else, package it as an .erf file, put it in override/patch folder and then add the renamed preset to the chargen xml file.  That's the only thing I could think of; may work and may...not.  ;)

Has anyone found Aveline's .mor in face.erf? Can you point me to the hash number? I want to make her prettier too.

Could you upload it somewhere for us? Like mediafire or whatever? I've created my ideal Aveline face and saved the game and now want to swap it :)

Love it! Would really love to download it if you can put it up on Nexus or somewhere like that.

You can find the .mor file in your face.erf file. Located in \\packages\\core\\data.
Or you can download this

http://social.biowar...m/project/4303/

It has the Aveline .mor under \\Companions in the .zip file.
