I'm having the same issue I finally got the Amulet code but still no code for the shield or sword. Considering I picked the game up at ten and have called support twice now I'd really like to know where my code is. Bad Best Buy. Next time Gamestop.

On the phone with BB again. New issue.

They were supposed to add some kind of SKU to the check out that would prompt them to ask for e-mail address to send it to. So now got to waste gas and go back to the store tomorrow to get it straightened out she's saying. Not good. And she said she didn't know about the sword and shield so that's probably why some got just the amulet. So sword/shield may need Bioware/EA to straighten them out.

Since Edit won't let me edit the last post... adding to it.

I have to drive all the way back to Best Buy tomorrow to get them to straighten this out. And there will be hell to pay. I only selected that store instead of a closer one because I was going to be in the area today release day. Now with the F'n high prices on gas, I have to drive all the way back there to get this straightened out.

Yep, I'll be back at Best Buy tomorrow and I'm bringing hell with me.

Bring 'em hell, cowboy. I feel the same way. Coming off some painful surgery here, wasn't really up to trekking to Best Buy in the first place but I wanted the DLC they promised upon release so I could sit happily in front of my tv and enjoy the game. Now I'm just.. mad. I don't want to have to go back, please let us know how things go.

I'm curious about EA/Bioware's stand on this whole issue. Because every time I call Best Buy customer service, they have no idea about the shield/sword. They say, "you got your amulet code right?" So why would EA have commercials all over TV and internet, saying if you pre-order you get something, then not have the retailers follow through? I know this is a Best Buy problem, but it sounds like a miss communication between the two places. Someone from EA/Bioware come on here and help us out, because Best Buy ain't doing squat.

To those of you that received the amulet code and ordered at a brick and mortar Best Buy, did your sales receipt show the pre-order as a returned item with the word EXCHANGE in large block letters at the top?

To anyone who ends up getting anything from BestBuy (amulet, sword, or shield) do you have any additional SKUs on your reciept? I have the returned pre-order,  and the game listed and that it it. My guess is that I will need to go to my local BB and educate them as to the correct way to redeem pre-orders... that is if it is not too late. Ugh!

Not sure if this will resolve the problem for you all but i entered the barcode (no dashes or spaces) from the back of my game box in the uk and it seemed to do the job. Just a suggestion as i say, best of luck getting it sorted.

Of course we did. That's how the little II icon shows up under our names in the forums. The code for the Best Buy amulet is not the UPC code.

Btw, do they have BB's in the UK? Just curious.

So my experience is this: I never pre-order from anywhere besides Gamestop, so this time I figured I'd try out Best Buy.  Gamestop being a video game pawn shop gets under my skin from time to time, but I digress!  So I pre-ordered and payed online weeks ago at bestbuy.com.  I picked it up yesterday, got the "it's in the box" from the girl who "didn't know why people pre-order because they always have enough copies".  Got home, Black Market/Dog code was in it, nothing on any of my paper work, nothing on the reciept, no emails; so I called Bestbuy's tech support.

After explaining to another person who had no clue what DLC was (Best Buy needs to hire gamers to handle this stuff!) he said it was the first he had heard about it and he assured me a response from marketing with the codes by the latest of today.  Last night I got an email saying they didn't have codes to hand out and that since the game was new it may take 5-7 days.  Seriously!? I can't believe they're allowed to sell games to begin with, because in gamer time 5-7 days on a pre-ordered copy might as well been a "go f*** yourself" letter.  I'll have capped my gamerscore and shelved it by then!

So, to Bioware, which hasn't responded to the posts here I say this: I love DA2, having a blast playing it, but the Best Buy thing is rediculous.  Please don't offer them pre-order bonus' in the future, it really irked all of your fans who ordered from them.  Also, I'll be hitting Ebay now to try to get my codes for cheap, seeing as this has created a market for the codes like you wouldn't believe.

Oh Best Buy is going to take so much crap for this.

It seems my store pick committed a crime. No not just the codes. They did the finalizing purchase before I got there. If anyone knows, Best Buy actually runs the card when you pick it up so you can sign their touchscreen thing. I never did that. I picked mine up at 10:40 but it was ran and apparently ghost signed over an hour earlier. Someone forged a signature there.

Oh this keeps getting better. 30 minutes until all hell breaks loose at this store. When they open their doors, they don't know it yet but they are opening the gates of hell.

Oh yeah, you tear them a new one for me.  Inform them that you go on the forums and hundreds of people across the us got screwed by the company and those people will be going to Gamestop or Amazon from now on.

Got live support from EA and the put the Items on my account with no hassle just took about half an hour in the cue to get a live person.

 I don't know if this has been mentioned but when I went to ebgames/gamestop and noticed that I also had no code on my reciept I mentioned this to them and their reply was, " Oh we had them emailed to us" Then he wrote the code on my reciept. I watched as he took the paper with the codes out and wrote mine and noticed that i was only the third one down. This is odd because it was already into the late afternoon. Made me wonder if I didnt ask would he not have said anything and maybe thats why there were only 2 others besides me that had got a code as well.

I talked to Best Buy after being in the store with clueless people about these codes. The toll free number might get us the amulet at least. Call them and they will need to submit your request to the promotions team then said it can take up to 24 hours.

However, Best Buy was not given any codes for the sword and shield and had no idea about those. So that's on Bioware/EA to fix but they ignore us.

24 hours is better than I was told. I was told I would know something from Promotions in 3-5 days. Of course, my order is jacked up in some way. No one could find it in their systems at BB CS. All orders must have a 'BBY' (online code) or a '111' (in-store) order number. I have neither. 10:1 the fact that only the returns desk had a cashier when I checked out is somehow screwing me over.

At least some of you got the amulet.

So big update for you all. I didn't want to bother in dealing with BB anymore (wasn't getting anywhere), so I went straight to EA Live Chat Support, explained the situation and they unlocked all three items for me (sword, shield, and amulet). :-]

Screw BB...never again will I pre-order from them.

Where did you find the live chat? I only saw how to send e-mail chat.

EDIT: found it. In the queue that says a 5 minute wait. I guess a lot are dealing with this. lol

I went through live chat. Told them I'd gotten the best buy item (amulet) but not the Sword or Shield and they were great. Added it to my account manually. No more best buy pre-orders through the website though.
