i really would like to understand the community concerns about the inventory..

the only thing you really cant change is aesthetics and weapon style (i.e. can't go from two-hander to dual wield).  however, you can still min/max with the upgrades and runes found throughout the game. and regarding to starter gear.. i havent really looked at the stats of the current DLC so ill wait to comment on that..

but in regards to say the blood dragon armor.. it required 38 strength to use.. so you pretty much had to wait till later in order to use it anyway. and in DAO, how much of a real difference did the gear you find early on make? really it was more about how much fatigue you had and whether it was a +1 attack vs darkspawn or the like.

the only real armor set you could arguably get early on was from the dalish elf zone, but really that went on my character, and again i think the strength requirement was rather high so i dont think i could use it right away.

also, keep in mind there are still rings, amulets, and swords/shields/daggers that can be switched out in DA2.. the only weapon that cant is the dwarf crossbow.

i understand that not being able to tailor your warrior/rogue companion to what weapon style you would prefer they have isnt ideal.. but honestly, doesnt that equate to more strategy? you actually have to think about who to bring. and honestly, i didnt change my weapon styles all that much in DAO since there really wasnt a respec (why would I use a two-hander when I specced sword and board?).. was it available in warden's keep without a mod? i cant recall. and even if there was, i never messed with that, but i guess i can understand wanting that freedom.

so, besides the weapon style restrictions, how exactly has DA2's inventory been downgraded in comparison to DA1?

obviously you guys are entitled to your opinion.. i just dont see it.
