Durring the first hour of playing I tried opening the level up screen for my character and it froze my computer, not crash the game, completley freezing up my computer to the point where I have to force it off.
This didn't happen again when I restarted my computer, and I figured it was a fluke, so I continued to play for another few minutes and it happened again when I tried to open my inventory. This has happened three times all when trying to open the inventory for the first time so I figure this must be some type of glitch.
I have all of my drivers updated, I'm running on mediumish settings, the game is running very smoothly otherwise and I'm getting great FPS. Windows Vista 64bit, (x2) Ati Radeon Moble 3470's although it doesn't sound like a computer problem, is anyone else's computer totally locking up when trying to open the menus?

Scratch that: it freezes whenever I open any menu after about 20-30 minutes

I am having the exact same problem as you
The game hasn't crashed at the character level up screen for me but it has completely froze my computer when i access inventory or shops for more than a few mins.

I lowered my settings to Low and set it to render in DirectX 9 instead of 11 and I played for about an hour with no freezing, see if that helps you.
I can't think of a reason why this would work...perhaps something with DirectX 11? The game runs no smoother in low settings other than not freezing, but I guess I'll just have to deal with playing in low settings.
