It seems after the Dwarf finishes telling his story to the seeker, i am supposed to come to a character creation screen. After that happens, all I see is Hawke standing there on a black background with no sliders or any user interface to do anything like go back or advance.

Here is a link to what I see.

Can anyone tell me if they are getting the same problem or how I can remedy this?

Update: Going to try and reinstall, as well as trying to see if video card update will do anything as well.

Karlov did you play the demo and unlock the inventory and character creation screens?

Go to
C:\\Users\\%username%\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age 2\\packages\\core\\override
Look for these files and delete them

chargen_stage2.gfx
inventory.gfx
chargen.gfx
mainmenu.gfx

Happy days

Search for those 4 files and delete or move any of them that you find. That fixed my issue.

There were none so I decided to delete the whole DA folder (preferences data of course)
somehow the problem was fixed.
