I keep running into the same error message saying that the program has suddenly stopped working. I have double checked my firewall, reisntalled it etc. What eles can I do to fix this problem?

i am having the same problem on both my desktop and my laptop. says dragon age 2 has stopped working and that windows will alert me when a solution is found.. is the game bugged?

the game will not start! I am getting an error sayint dragon age 2 has stoped working. Ive tried reinstalling the game and directx

Same issue here... silly me for expecting a game to just WORK when I install it.

I had to go to configure and switch from directx 11 to directx9 i hope this helps you guys

bioware, a flawless studio, and this is their first failure.

game is a glitch in disc form. sometimes i can make it through the first couple cut scenes, sometimes i can play the intro battle, other times i freeze in the first load screen, but recently i cant even get past the main menu.

absolute joke.

I can't get past the launcher. It'll bring up the DA2 logo, and then it says it stopped working. I'm on 64 bit Windows 7, tried running in compatibility mode (to XP service pack 2) and tried running it as administrator. No luck.

I don't even get a error message, it pulls up the launcher then I click play and the launcher goes away amd nothing happens. I've tried reinstalling, run in Admin, and different service packs as well as trying DircetX 9 but nothing works.

damn you bioware! break up with my girlfriend and the game Ive been waiting months for is bugged... all in the same day. fml. Im taking it back and getting rift lol just decided

Same here same problem....it would be nice to actually play a game on day one...companies spending so much time on DLC and first day content you can't even get a game that plays right away...

nothing but black screen you pre order a game 3 months ahead and you can't play been trying for 6 hrs to get it to start

I had the same issue. I updated my video drivers now the game seems to work.

Yep I have the same issue, I'm on Vista 64...tried running as admin in XP mode...still no dice.
Oddly the demo works fine..

Same Problem here, forcing DX9 fixed the problem for me.

Same problem.
DA2 splash screen shows on desktop, then windows "Dragon Age II has stopped working" dialog.

If I set it to DX9, it seems to get a bit further - the screen goes black but then it also hangs.
