Recently popped in my copy of Dragon Age II and by the first cutscene, I was noticing that the scenes seemed to be squished horizontally, causing them to appear incredibly thin.  Compared that opening CS with the demo's opening CS and definitely noticed there was a major difference.  Is there a way to fix this or is this something that'll be patched?  Or is it just my copy. lol x.x

Are you on a SDTV or an HDTV?

Same problem on my SDTV, and the cutscenes flicker too.

Ive had this problem with HDTV and SDTV. I have the HD cord in my basement and the normal one on another TV. I'm playing on the regular White 360, not elite or slim. Maybe that might have something to do with it.

Wait... it was all wonked out and scrunched on your HDTV too?

And I am using an Xbox360-S, so that's not the issue.

If it it did that on a HDTV, then it must be a bug.

Same problem here. The resolution is off and the character's faces look a little stretched out. If the camera pulls a long shot during dialogue, I can't even see my character's eyes - they get cut off towards the top of the screen. I've noticed the flickering as well, particularly during the interrogation scene. The text is incredibly small again, same issue with ME2. That I might be able to deal with, but the resolution is a real issue.

The resolution is a very big issue. From watching the demo, which was beautiful, to watching the actual game intro...it just takes away from the experience. I've tried going into the dashboard and configuring it there; but I didn't have too mch time to play around.

Agreed. The resolution makes the game unplayable/broken/etc., the text is just an annoyance.

I'm playing on a SDTV and I agree with everyone else. Trying to read anything on here is impossible. Okay not impossible, but its like I have to give my eyes a workout and decipher the words here.

I really just don't understand how this even happened. The demo was fine. I don't get it, and I've never experienced an issue like this with any other game.

Just booted up my copy.

Cutscenes are squished and the intro cutscene was twitchy as well.

I'm having this issue, as well. I guess it's pretty widespread.
I hope this issue has some level of priority, because honestly, I'm not going to play this game anymore until the problem is fixed. I'm not saying that to sound critical, and certainly not to sound threatening. I mean, I've purchased the game, they already have my money. It's just that I'm having a rather difficult time enjoying the game, and I'd rather just wait for it to be fixed.
As for the part about the patch taking more than a week, well, if it's really out of their hands, it's out of their hands. I'm not going to blame them for that.
I'll be patient, but I just really hope a solution is actually on the way. You know, other than "Go out and buy an HDTV." I don't think that's really within feasibility for everyone encountering this problem.

I agree, but at the same time Bioware knew about this issue and didn't even bother to say "Hey, thanks for buying our game ,but you'll also need to buy a widescreen HDTV to be able to play, thanks bye!"<_<
