I'm having a terrible time, now that I'm in Kirkwall and past the "first year" moving around within the city. Places that require Loading screens to get to, I'm frequently getting hangs (the animated 'Loading' icon stops spinning entirely) or such long loading times, I can't tell if it's hung or if I need to be waiting even longer than the 1-2 minutes I already am.

Anyone else having this issue?

It could potentially be an issue happened when installing the game to the PS3's HDD. Try uninstalling the game data from the Game Data Utility and reinstalling it.
