Did you get through Varric's first story? There's a short, exaggerated part where Varric tells the "legend" of Hawke, and after that Cassandra will call him out on it and Varric will say "then you'll have to hear the whole story", and you'll get the chance to create the "real" Hawke.

Thats the thing i get  to that part  you talk about .  But i can not change anything the only options  there is: only a prebuilt hawk  darked out , and i cant even change any of the options for my profile picture either.

Could you post the sliders for her nose? I have a very hard time getting this right on my own Hawke, but I really like yours.

There is no separate Character Creator, or Toolset as of yet for Dragon Age 2. The only way to make characters is to start a New Game, go through the Prologue which is a "fake" beginning as embellished by Varric. After  you finish this fight with Hawke and sibling. You will get to the Character Creation screen. For both genders of Hawke, the first 2 options on the Preset Slider are default Hawke with Blood Smear or without. Any of the presets after those 2 will allow you to start with a Preset Hawke and modify it as you choose.

This is only availble in the Full Game. If you only have the demo, then it's only possible to make custom Hawke's by modding the PC demo.

I bought the game and have the disk in my hand . But there is only the one hawke that i can choose .I get to the point after the first part, but all the options are darked out as well as all the sliders.  I have never even played the Demo. And i am able to and have played a full game already.  And now even more im lead to believe that somehow someone has me set up in a way where  when i install a new game . Somehow they are just putting up  fake screens and sites to register my games and stealing my cd key so they can play my copy . Because i find it hard to believe that every single game made  these days uses this " Installshield wizard  program " to install every game. i buy alot of games and the chances that every single DEV uses this same  program is impossible.

Huh I can't help you there... although I don't think the game even installs if you don't have a correct CD Key to install it.

Well something fishy is going on because i do own the game. But have tried 4 characters so far and they all look alike : ( And have never been able to even change any of the sliders for the profile picture even. Oh well thanks for trying to help though. I dont like even comming to this thread having to look at all your cool characters. At least they didd'nt have the female start off looking like avaline does at the very start of the game.

me myself cant make a good looking female char ...I wish i could but i cant for some reason .....

I've made some really nice femHawkes, but then carver looks like a moron. Mostly because he keeps getting dreads...

If you have The Black Emporium, just wait until you get to Kirkwall to customize your Hawke.  That way your family keeps their default appearances.

 I play on the console(PS3) and use my cellphone(DroidX) to take my screen shots...so, yeah, it can work if ypu have a good device...you would also need a photobucket app to make it work perfectly!
