Just picked up my copy of DA2 today and have noticed that I am unable to set the install location. I have a separate HDD that I install all media onto like games and movies and such and the installer is not prompting me to set the location, it defaults to the "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age 2" drive.
Am I missing something? I installed DA:O/DA:OA and all my other PC games to my "D:\\Games\\" drive without any issues... Help?
Unable to PC Install to a different drive location?

Same problem as vintage23, I run a platter drive to run games off of, and this game won't let me install to anything but my primary SSD. Maybe a quick patch is needed?

I guess for me the 3rd time was the charm. Seem to not offer the "Express vs Custom" installation options where custom allows for changing install locations. When the game prompts to enter the CDKey and after selecting next the setup may hiccup and go immediately to the step before full installation but on my 3rd attempt it allowed me to select express or customer so I guess we need to proceed slower or maybe a install patch is needed...

To do it, you have to go to custom install instead of using express installion. This way you can select where you want to install it.

yes, the problem I was having was that I was not getting the option to do Express or Custom install, it would go from me inputting the CDKey to installation, that step in the process they system skipped completely on two different install instances. My 3rd time it offered me the option but it was odd the problem was replicated twice by myself and it appears a few other times by others installing the game.

I had this same problem, and with the same resolution. The installer jumped straight from the CD Key check to copying files until the third try, at which point it allowed me to choose a custom install and shortcut options, etc. Very annoying.

I ended up going for a third time installing, and suddenly it gave me a whole new window for Express or Custom Install. Hurm. How odd. In any case, all is well now.

using the run as admin (in win 7 anyways) shortcut might get around it too.

After installing, unistalling, 2nd reinstall-cancel, the 3rd time it worked. Is this some programmer's version of a joke?
