DAO 9.4
ME1 9.0
ME2 9.2
BG2 9.5
DA2 7.0

my 2 cents
thanks

Oh my look at those scores!!

Tis what happens when you dumb things down too much, ie streamline. I am not saying it's bad, it worked in the case of ME2 but then again a different development team worked on ME2. My guess is, the DA team thought they could emulate the success of ME2 by copying their development model, DUMB IT DOWN FOR THE COD AUDIENCE/MAINSTREAM/CASUAL GAMER.

But the numbers alone speak for themselves. Bioware should have known that RPGs aren't a casual or mainstream genre in the first place.

Is that how many times you finished the games?
How the fudge did you beat DA2 seven times in one day?!

Haha. :P

Well if this is not Constructive criticism, I don't know what is!, I never known a video game ever to give back money because you didn't like the product. Perhaps in final fantasy but that was because the game was not actually finished and they just gave people free months.

In another words, I suppose you mad? I'm sorry, here'a cookie

You mean the numbers that someone just made up?

Cause on Metacritic it's an 85, just fyi.

I disliked the game too, but I was smart enough to try before I buy.

There are plenty of legal ways to do this, I'm sure the smarter PC gamers know the less legal ways already.

DA2 is a bad sequel, but as a game on its own right, without the expectations of what DA:O brought, it's okay.

If you want your money back, go over the Terms of Service (that you agreed to) and find something in there about refunds and what makes you applicable for them.

Although EA aren't very generous when it comes to returning money.

No one forced you to buy the game... Hopefully.

I liked the part where suggested things.

But also, Bioware will buy beer, drugs and women with your hard earned money before plotting ME3's romances in an acid-fuelled binge that ends up in a somehow mysteriously animated Drell/Krogan crossover softcore porn flick that no one can quite remember animating the night before.

Good job helping in speeding up the nosedive of game quality, DA2 team.

No, really. It's like you just don't care. You're supposed to develop games that are enjoyable and that people will look back on and think: "Wow, that was a great game." When a game isn't able to do this there's clearly some sort of problem. You're GAME DESIGNERS. You have to create interesting, fun and POWERFUL experiences for your audience. This isn't about making the game more approachable by casual gamers, no one really cares about that as long as the game is GOOD.

This product is not good.

So again, thank you for further destroying the gaming industry, both EA and the DA2 team.

You have 28 days to return the product to its retailer and get 100% money back, it's the law. If you hate it so much you'll just send it back. Not many people seem to agree, but it's your opinion after all.

There's WAY too much name-calling, insults, and abuse being hurled around this thread, folks. Please tone it down, or i'll have to shut it down.

Next time just rent the game before you buy it. This way you only lose a small amount of money or just ask someone you trust how good/bad the game is. I know it seems like common sense, but it's just some friendly advice.

I doubt that’s possible considering the DRM which locks the game to an account. Wouldn’t that make it unusable to everyone else?

The op's tone makes him pretty easy to dismiss but let me try to make his opinion more sympathetic.

First of all there was major incentive to pre order this game BEFORE the demo was released.

Second of all I feel that the marketing specifically the dev diaries to be very deceptive and misleading in hindsight. I just really bought into the company line that this was going to be an evolution, a clear improvement over it's predecessor.

They just billed as a game that would suit everyone (console/pc, action/tactical) without any negatives or disadvantages. " it's hard to express how different DA2 feels while still feeling the same" yeah I bet Mike, maybe because that doesn't make any sense great marketing quote though.

All in all I don't regret my early pre order as dispite my disappointments it's still worth a buy, but I could see pc gamer who's more of a BG DA1 fan than a Bioware fan being very disappointed.

yeah the previous battle system was WAY better but this one is still alright, I mostly care about story and characters, I've only played for about 3 hours so I cant really say anything about it but right now it looks quite promising :)

This is not the place to vent. There are things called gaming forums.

Why? The game developers should hear about these things here not from some gaming forums.

The background noise that something sucks is whole another point than asking money for bad quality product which indeed seems extremely bad quality comparing to original title. Since Bioware could of hire few decent coders, huge bunch of 'real' level designers and an quality assurance team and use the DA:O engine exactly as it is with few minor corrections. They would of come up much faster results and got actual interest of gamers and not the investors for 'new sells'.

This in gamers perspective is almost an fraud of 60$ instead of providing true product like DA:O was. People who do see new 'Dragon Age 2' will automatically think that 'Dragon Age: Origins' was a really good game and these people usually who says this are also indepth RPG fans who expects to get an RPG not an 2 cent shooter and go.

2 cents

So you didn't like it I take it? Sell it, Trade it? You know, you could have rented. What do you expect to happen with your post? Bioware to recall the game and pump out a new version in a year? You expect a check in the mail? You think your complaint is going to stop people's preorders? OT needs a blog.. besides Morrigan needs the monies for baby food

The issue with having to pre-order before the demo really irked me too. It's why I didn't pre-order and boy was I happy about that. When the demo arrived, I played it a couple of times just to make sure it wasn't just a bad first taste. I'll likely play it one more time just to check. If DA 2's demo is truely representative of the final game (which it should be, considering it IS a demo) then I am likely not buying it. I wish Bioware the best of luck, I'm sure other players will enjoy DA 2 but to me it is pretty bland. It doesn't seem to be a bad game, but it certainly lacks alot of what I want in a RPG. From all the features changed during it's developmental cycle, to the cheesy advertising and from my experience with the demo I'll never buy this product. Hopefully DA 3 will take off in a new direction entirely. Posted Image
