Well, I had thought today was going to be great after going to gamestop and getting the last copy of dragon age II signiture edition but alas as soon as I had installed and started my new game a hitch was thrown in my day.
The game ran fine through the opening cutscenes but shortly after starting the opening fight(about 15 seconds) my game would freeze up and crash, it did this repeatedly at the same point, same time every time. I meet the minimum standards for the game, its running on low graphics.
I play it in window mode but even after that and going to options and taking out the blood and other things I thought might cause the problem nothing changed.
uninstalled it, installed Directx 11 then reinstalled it and still nothing.
After perusing the forum I believe the only solution for mine and everyone elses issues would be a patch as soon as possible. Any advice or support will be very appreciated thank you.

I exceed minimum specs and meet most of the recommended specs and same thing. First fight scene first use of skill and crash. Demo worked fine. Definitely needs a patch...

I was actually able to fix this by updating the drivers for my ATI Radeon graphics card and tweaking the settings a little lower, I also bumped my rendererr from dx11 down to dx9. Just doing this seemed to work for me I hope it helps someone else.
