I am getting the same error. I have tried reinstalling multiple times trying an assortment of different things... Extremely frustrating. It is like everything goes great until I get to the release date check.. then NOPE sorry you bought this game for 60 dollars go F yourself. HELLPP!

Yep me too. No one is helping this issue at all. I can't even launch the game whatsoever without it saying "Dragon Age 2 has stopped working". We're left in the dust; discarded, unfortunate nobodies that Bioware will never bother helping out with a fix.

sighhh... very disappointed. Tried another reinstall with firewall down and a different sequence of starting up the game. Still no go. Anyone with some info on this error? I am really starting to regret getting this for the PC... I just reformatted today as well so I know I have the most up to date drivers installed. Not running any AV ... soo what is the deal?

AWC.dll is the title of the error box for me as well. The message says there was something wrong with the game's setup or install and to reinstall it.
I've done that at least 5 times. Everything is up to date. I tried express install, custom install, and anything else I could think of and... STILL THIS ERROR.
I also have a submitted request for help to EA/Bioware, and they helped me out quickly with my DAO problem in the past, but they have not answered me now and it's been over a day...
I should have listened to my fighting game buddy and spent my money on Marvel vs Capcom 3 instead...
Infuriating...
