I thought I would post this to people wondering if you can get the armor of the Champion.
Method of obtaining is the same for all classes. :)
This goes in this forum because it's all quest related.
(All of them can be gotten as part of the main story excep the body piece.)

Gauntlets of The Champion:
You get them automatically in act 3.

Cuirass/Robe/Body armor of The Champion:
Defeat the High Dragon. Quest: Mine Massacre (Act 3).

Boots of The Champion:
Automatically after talking to Huon in the main story quest "On The Loose".

Helm of The Champion:
Quest: "Best Served Cold". From Grace.

Thanks for the info Klace, so does it look like the armor from the beginning or are there some minor appearance changes?

It does resemble the starting armor yes.
I also console skipped to the second act from the exaggerated sequence to check the inventory and stats.
Interesting thing: Hawke is only level 10 there. And he has the Champion Armor you can get equipped.

Very interesting, oh also what seems to be the best mage equipment (staff, accessories, etc) and where can you get them?

Just out of curiosity, would "On the Loose" be in Act 3? I'm there now, and I want to know if I should go looking for the Mine Massacre quest.

Have a good strategy, mainly. Put difficulty on casual if you want.
Try to be as high a level as you can. IE: Save it for last thing before the ending of the game.

It's not as epic and "exaggerated" (at least the mages wasn't) as the beginning.
But it's one of the the best armor sets you can get.
Method of obtaining is the same for all classes. :)

"It's not as epic and "exaggerated" (at least the mages wasn't) as the beginning." What do you mean by that? It still looks the same right?

Also are those quest act 3 and above? Boots and Helm I mean.

Act 3 and above. And I believe it actually does look the same.

What level would you recommend? Also are these quest items that can't be sold, or can we loose them at some point? I ask because I might have sold something without realizing what it was.

They can be sold.
There's also a separate section for strategies, try over there. :)

Just curious as to which act "Best Served Cold" takes place in, and whether it's a main plot quest.

Best Served Cold is obtainable by mail after On The Loose and is a Main Plot Quest.

The dragon is the most difficult of the quests to get this by far. I did alright at level 17 with 2h warrior hawke, Isabella for backstabbery, and Varick for ranged dps/rips the crap out of the massed dragonlings, and Anders, for healing/spell whoopass. Anders requires a lot of micro, since you need to switch him between his damage mode and healing mode, which lets you revive/mass heal but prevents you from casting all offensive spells. It's a long fight regardless, so make sure you've got sufficient potions/draughts/lyrium potions. I also brought a long a bunch of potions of restoration, which streamlined the whole process a bit.

No joke, man.  I still need to beat that thing.  I stumbled into him entirely by accident and was NOT prepared.  Holy mother.
