No. There are more powerful weapons in-game than the staff of parthalan. Who ever heard of the strongest weapon a dlc?

Change the difficulty to casual.  I was able to easily do it on casual at level 18 and it was the first thing I did in Act III.

Get it as soon as you can in my book, so you can enjoy the armor throughout the act.

You encounter a merchant on the sea coast during one of the quests in Act II. He is in the area where the Tal Vashoth spawn by the cave and sells the best staff I have seen thusfar for 110 soverigns. Looks like Spellfury from Awakening except it has shades of blue as an overlay.

Method of obtaining is the same for all classes.
This goes in this forum because it's all quest related.
(All of them can be gotten as part of the main story excep the body piece.)

Gauntlets of The Champion:
You get them automatically in act 3.

Cuirass/Robe/Body armor of The Champion:
Defeat the High Dragon. Quest: Mine Massacre (Act 3).

Boots of The Champion:
Automatically after talking to Huon in the main story quest "On The Loose".

Helm of The Champion:
Quest: "Best Served Cold". From Grace.

Thanks for the info...I just defeated the High Dragon but got zilch. Is it supposed to be looted from the dragon's body or what?

Shouldn't be a problem, considering I had enough for it after finishing the Deep Roads.  Just don't go hog wild purchasing stuff in Act I.  I also did all of the side quests in Act I.  Total amount of money I spent in Act I I think was about 5 soverigns:  Purchased that Armor of the Wall or whatever its called from the Armor merchant in the Gallows.  Other than that, I don't remember buying anything in Act I.  So, do plenty of quests to start, don't spend much and you will be set.  I will post a screenshot of the stats of it later today if you wish, as even though I'm a warrior, I bought it for Anders.

for the high dragon, run far away from it(dont leave zone) then come back and you will be able to loot, it just doesnt show up at first.

Hubert gives the quest in Hightown Market. He is the guy that asks for your help with the Bone Pit problems.

If I never did the Bone Pit quest, am I pretty much screwed for getting the Cuirass? I'm already in Act 3.

Edit: Nevermind! I just found out that I can still do the Mine Massacre quest even without doing the Bone Pit in Act 2.

I'd suggest making a new thread, as this one is dedicated to the Champion Armor.

I forget where you find the boots/helm, but the armor is on the Matured Dragon in the Deep Roads.

When exacatly do you get the Gauntlets?  I've already started the third act but they haven't appeared in my inventory.
