Is there space bar broken. I seem to be able to pause just fine. Not being able to zoom out does not mean the game is less tactical.

I also am sick of the PC comunity. I am a PC gamer and will stand by it to I die, but lowering a score because we did not get a better verson then people who paid the same money is a bunch a BS. It is fine to give more to the PC gamers, DICE for example is makeing extra goodies for the PC for battlefeid 3, is fine; in fact I love it. But to claim it as a birth right that we should always have the better versoin is not right.

I can't believe anyone would trust those user reviews at all. It's quite obvious the purpose of all this is to:
a) To make people upset.
and
B) To annoy people who are still waiting for DA2.
I'm not defending the game at all. I'm not saying anything about how good or bad the game is. But it's painfully obvious that this is a good example of very successful trolling.

It's some kind of hate raid or something. We better grab some popcorn and see how it pans out. Can't think I've ever seen this happen with a big game. Only with indie projects.

Overall, the critic reviews seem favourable, if not so much so as with Origins. Just popped over to look at the user feedback on metacritic and what a mess. Most of the negative responses place the game at 0 or 1, mostly, it seems, because it's somewhat different and not flat-out better than DA:O. I mean, ranking it at 0 while claiming that it's an "ok game" is just a tad extreme, isn't it? Hopefully this surge of reactionaries will subside soon.

nfortunately, Dragon Age 2 has not met my expectations. The epic story of Dragon Age: Origins made me play the game for hours, but Dragon Age 2 lacks a gripping story. Most of the time you create bloodbaths by running through the same dull dungeons. There are some improvements like a talking main character, but it's not a new Dragon Age, it's rather a hack'n'slay with a touch of roleplaying.

How is the Score and the Text fitting together? I have no idea. Its from the Same Person.

In a sense it sort of does, tactical gameplay in regards to a game like DA:O is taking more a role of delegation and battle field management rather then actually controling individual characters, setting their tactics to whatever role you need filled and directing from there. This is much better achieved with the top-down view that allowed you to view the whole battlefield clearly.

Dude I cannot agree with you more. You share my exact sentiments about the PC community and the PC gaming industry on the whole.

Most reviews I've read have been "I don't like a whole bunch of DA2, but have a 8/10 or 9/10."

Honestly, I'm almost 99% positive DA2 is not what Bioware wanted it to be, but what EA wanted it to be

If this is what they actually wanted for DA2, I'll make sure to steer clear of any future Bioware games

I like it that it has its ratings going upwards, downwards and sideways wherever you look. Those games are normally pretty good (at least for me) because it "controversials" the reviewers, meaning it makes them not quite as objective as you'd expect to. This is good, because it means the game is making you take it personally. Besides, if an equal number of bashers and praisers get together and the result is that normal reviewers settle the game at the medium till high eighties, the game is pretty decent imo.

Welcome to metacritic, where Halo Fanboys lower Killzone's Score, Killzone Fanboys lower Halo's score, and Dragon Age fanboys lower their own score.

Seriously, my first thought was "The Bioware forum must be spilling over into the metacritic user reviews" when I looked at it this morning. Keep on ****ing guys, I am going to go back to playing my game.

Are these people seriously reviewing the same game? I'm still reading reviews, and all are so painfully different. I just read on saying that the side quests have more intrigue than the actual storyline, and then another saying DA2 may possibly be the best story telling present in a video game. Dear god, this is insane. And i've read so many reviews where the score doesn't match with what was said. Some giving DA2 8's when all they did was harp on the game, some giving it 7's when they praised the characters, story, role playing and combat.

This is the craziest batch of reviews i've ever laid my eyes on. This must truely be a love/hate kind of game.

I like how people assume all the bad ratings are trolls. I played the original a ton and beat it several times on nightmare and had a great time. So far I am unimpressed with DA2 and the changes that were made. Heaven forbid people be able to voice their opinions!!!

Not that surprising, BioWare did do a big directional change with DA2 over it's predecessor and it's only natural people that people have view that directional change with varying degrees of satisfaction. It's the same here on these boards; some love the change, some hate it, others find it irrelevant.

Metacritic user reviews vary a lot. Personally, I average the professional reviews and the user reviews and it usually works out fairly well for me. Currently DA2 is at 8.4 for professional reviews and 3.7 for user reviews, so I'd call the total score about a 6. From what I've heard that sounds reasonable, but Amazon hasn't bothered to ship mine yet so I really can't say for sure.

You'll know it when 4chan comes after you,  it'll be alot more than 71 people.  More like 7100.  Or 71,000.
