possible fixes that worked for me on origins
you can only have one saved character and only one save file and the auto saves. when i make multiple saves or have more than one character made it tends to freeze. I tried it with 1 save 1 character file (sad to erase my female fighter) and it stopped freezing the the whole night i gamed. we shall see. worked for me in dragon age origins.
All my other games worked fine, and still work fine. gamed 6 hrs of assassins creed brotherhood, had just finished assassins creed 2, heavy rain was fine, played mass effect2 no problems ( i know its bioware) dead space no problems, red dead redemption no problems (over played that one) and recently finessed infamous with yup 0 problems.

I also am currently reading another theory, something called SecuROM glitch, I have no idea what that is as of yet.
Ok I am done, to many times it freezes and its annoying. My entire PS3 has to be re started. I took out the game and packed it away and i am not touching it until there is a fix. (if that even happens) I have been playing my other games (which work perfectly fine) and i guess i will finish Assassins creed brotherhood, fallout and heavy rain. If this problem is happening only becasue Bioware is so paranoid/greedy that they have to slip in a copyright program which only seems to cause problems to people that actually payed for a game that freezes in every cut scene then..[INSERT EVERY PROFANITY] them.

YMMV ... I deleted the original game files (not saved games) and after playing about four hours it hasn't happened again. I don't think it's fixed, but the time between freezes was getting shorter and shorter, until it was every 30 mins. That I have 4+ hrs without an issue is definately better. I did disconnect from EA servers, but still have auto save on.
I took off the autosave just to be safe. I also got off of the EA servers. I didn't play for too long afterwards, maybe an hour. So far no freezes. Even though it's probably not an issue, someone mentioned not moving while the game was saving. I'm doing that too.
Funny thing is, the problem we had with DA:O with the freezes is a year ago from now. I remember because I joined the forum when I was having this issue. Deja Vu.

i agree with deadhuckabee. i said in earlier post that the game attempts too much during autosave. My first game froze after first battle while talking to mother (during autosave), while talking to her, all of my "premium content" quest popped up (which also prompts autosave i believe?) to fast to even read...then 30 seconds later...first freeze. Had a total of 6 freezes in 5 hrs. Started a new game (kept the corrupted one) with autosave off BEFORE i started...32 HRS OF PLAY WITHOUT A FREEZE (with "premium content epuipped). It has to be corrupted saves, its the only thing that makes sense.
What are corrupted saves exactly?
If our current game keeps freezing, do we just turn off auto-save and delete all files but the newest save we have?

I agree with people who are saying after your first freeze your freezes get more and more frequent. Thats the only thing I"ve consistently noticed. Maybe that will help them solve the problem, don't know. Oh and my freezes have only occured in town. I made it to the deep roads in one of my saves...no freezes. Got back to town, immediatly froze. Don't know if that helps.
I'm thinking of getting the first game ult edition for all the extra content I haven't played yet.

Problems:
CONSTANT freeze ups.
Merrill's story is out of order
And the big one, Hawke slowing down due to what seems to be Isabella's friendship.

You have to start a NEW game with autosave OFF. Turn off autosave from options on main menu, then start a new game.
A corrupted save is broken save data that can not be accessed or used. Follow the link below for more info, very informative.

Since I turned off Auto save i didnt freeze no more, havent had all the other problems, thank God
Can you please let us know if this was on a new game or your current one, and if you had any freezing issues since?
On a sidenote, this is getting rediculous, it is freezing every 5-10min for me, no matter what I do, anything random or not....so frustrated.

Freezing on Loading...
Yellow light stops blinking after about 30 seconds and requires a reboot.
The issue is better when turning off autosave, and save to EA. Making progress through the quests, but with a reboot every 5-15 minutes, this is unacceptable.
The cash Bioware/EA has brought in, can afford a testing and QA environment.
Really disappointed.

Deleted old saved game
Disabled Net
Disabled Autosave
Started new Game w/ new character
Played through till Kirkwall (about an 45mins saving occasionally manually)
Stopped playing
Came back hours later played for about a half hour and froze while looking in a treasure chest in the family estate.

It's your call. When this happened with DAO last year it took about a month and change before Bioware was able to release a patch. People who owned the game took different approaches. Some just stopped playing till the patch was released. Others risked their consoles and kept playing through the freezes. Some went on a rampage and returned their game. It all boils down to what you personally want to do. If you have other games to play then shelf this one till it's fixed and save your rig from a possible breakdown due to hard reboots. If you don't have other games then return it and get a one that works.
It's not an ideal solution either way but we just deal with things at this stage in the game.

The first freeze was on " Enemies among us" quest, on the sanctuary level.
Freezes became somehow frequent since act 3 now.
Fingers crossed for a quick patch.
