I understand the confusion and poor communication though, it makes very little sense considering all the other cross-content extras. Except maybe because DS is not a bioware title and only EA?
From wikipedia:
Dead Space 2 is a survival horror third-person shooter video game developed by Visceral Games and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. It is the sequel to Dead Space. Unlike its predecessor, Dead Space 2 has a multiplayer mode. A Collector's Edition is available for all three platforms. The PlayStation 3 Limited Edition includes Dead Space: Extraction as a PlayStation Move compatible title

I'm not sure why anyone w/a PS3 would prefer the 360 version anyway, as I understand the PS3 version has exclusive content. *shrug*

I figure that's the case, as other cross-platform stuff has been Bioward (ME2 to DA2, etc). It's dissappointing that it wasn't clearly stated on the game that came out first, but it's really not a huge gripe. Would I be happy if they patched it? Yeah! Am I more hesitant to buy tie-in games now? Yeah. I don't like feeling that I'm confined to once console, especially because I prefer the 360 (I just like the controller more. That's all.) My pS3 is for exclusives only, but I have DA2 on it because my DA:Origins preorder was screwed up and PS3 was the only one I could get the limited edition for.
Ultimately, caveat emptor, I suppose?
