AMD 1100T
2x ATI Radeon HD 6970 in CF
8GB Ram
Resolution 1920x1080
Full Screen Mode - enabled
Renderer DirectX 11
V-Sync - Off
Graphics Detail - Very High
Anti Aliasing - 8x
Anisotropic Filtering - 16x
Screen Space Ambient occlusion - Enabled
Diffusion Depth of Field - Enabled
High Quality Blur - Enabled
High Resolution textures - Enabled
Using the lates ATI/AMD drivers beta,. Ran same part of the game with & without fraps recording @ 60 fps 1080p full resolution.
These were my results:
Without Fraps Recording - Min 53, Max 138, Avg 83.297
With Fraps Full Recording - Min 36, Max 69, Avg 56.338
The latest drivers have helped out greatly with the screen tearing, but also caused game to shut down after I ran it for a fourth time just to see how it would start up.

+13 fps for me. Although there are some reports of a loss in performance, it's worth a try.

I'm not really having framerate issues or anything (I manage to keep 60 most of the time on high/DX11), and the game actually ran fine for a good while. But now, an hour or two after I started doing quests in Kirkwall at the start, I'm having a random issue where I lose video output from my card and I can hear the card's fan kick into high. Has anybody else had this problem? I saw some reports of crashing, but not freezing like this.
Your video card is overheating. It's probably getting up to 90° or more, and it's basically shutting itself down and halving the clocks so it doesn't burn out.
Depending on what you have for a card (EVGA for instance, has great software) you can get a fan control to manually set it to about 75% speed or more whilst you play. Which is what I do for my dual 480's.
That had crossed my mind, but I found it strange that the machine would freeze before the fan got turned up. I'll look into something to turn my fan speed up, and also something to let me monitor my GPU temperature in-game. Thanks.

Intel Core i5 - 750 @ 2,67GHz.
Nvidia Geforce GTX 570.
8 GB ram.
- All graphical settings at highest.
- High resolution texture pack.
- 1920 x 1080.
- DirectX 11.
Experiencing severely poor performance, usually running at 16 fps. Not normal for a Crysis approved PC.
Currently using the latest Nvidia Beta drivers. From what I've gathered this is a DX11 related issue, others have likely mentioned the same issue.
I hope this will get fixed soon, I'm eager to play the game. :3

i7-2600k @ 4.8ghz
GTX 570
16GB Ram
Intel G2 SSD
In DX11 mode, I was getting the floating black boxes and unplayable lag until I installed the latest beta drivers from Nvidia. After I installed them, the black boxes are gone, but the framerate is still pretty low. It's like 10-20 fps most of the time, which is terrible.

6gb DDR3 ram
2 MSI OC GTX 580 in SLI mode!
Windows 7 Ultimate
Game running from SSD on PCIx
DA2: Signature Edition w/ HD Graphics Pack
I have this awesome computer that plays everything without a glitch. But I have some serious issues with DA2. I can run it fine in DX9 mode on medium. If I switch to DX11 without the HD graphics pack on very high the game runs slow and the textures look like crap. Large parts of the ground go black. If I run it with the HD graphics pack the texture problem is fixed but then the game crashes if I move or turn the view.
Tried to use the new nvidia beta drivers but then the game would crash right after the loading screen.

Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T9400 @ 2.53GHz
8GB Ram
512 MB GeForce 9600M GT
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Regular Retail Version of DA2
Tested on both DirectX 11 renderer and DirectX 9
1920 x 1080 (16:9), Medium Graphics, Full Screen on, Vertical Sync On
Nvidia Beta Driver 267.24
ISSUES:
Game graphics freezes up every few minutes. Sound continues on sometimes and game graphics will then eventually resume like nothing occurred but then freeze again and repeat the process. This makes the game unplayable.
Please fix!!!

I spent about 30 min playing with different application settings on the Nvidia Control Panel today. I have had (what I feel) good success stopping the freezing issues on High (I cant run Very High because my video card is only DX10).
Before I was only getting about 30 FPS and it would slow down to 1 FPS every few min. The slowdown would last a good 30 seconds. Now, I was able to play for a good hour only experiencing 2 or 3 slowdowns (I did not count). After those first few slowdowns I did not experience any after.
System Stats:
GeForce GTX 285 1Gig
267.24 Drivers
Game Settings:
DX11
Vsync Off
High
2x AA/AF
SSAO Off
HD Textures enabled
Nvidia Control Panel settings (bold are settings I changed from defults):
AF: App controlled
AA Gama: Off
AA Mode: App controlled
AA Transparency: Off
CDUA: All
Max pre-rendered frames: 3
Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration: Single display preformance mode
Power management mode: Adaptive
Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimization: On
Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias: Allow
Texture filtering - Quality: High preformance
Texture filtering - Trilinear optimization: On
Threaded optimization: Auto
Triple buffering: Off
Vertical sync: App controlled
As allways YMMV.

While slow down doesn't happen for me a lot while running very high with high res patch enabled, I do still notice shadow problems on the left side of my screen from time to time while I am in a fight. Especially with ones with a lot of enemies on the screen. While it is not a show stopper it is annoying and shouldn't be something that is happening with a system that can play metro 2033 at 1920 X 1200 with every maxed out and no slowdown what so ever. It is just unacceptable. I have the latest beta Nvidia graphics drivers installed so I don't understand why this is a problem.

With Directx 11 on at max setting I'm getting about 25 fps in combat, not in combat about 30-40 fps. And I think I should run it smooth with my specs. I run Crysis 2 with no single problem...

after reading these post, looks like bioware needs to fix up a patch, i tried to run evrything max but i get 10-20 fps, some textures are missing and i see black triangles on the ground, however running it on direct x9 the game goes very smooth,i can play other games like metro on direct x11 without problems, so nvidia or bioware need to fix this!

Game installed fine, I play about 5 minutes, game crashes. All I get is "Windows has detected a problem and will close this program". Drivers updated. This is INCREDIBLY frustrating.

i7-950 overclocked to 3.5 GHz
12 GB DDR 3 @ 2033 MHz
GTX 470 overclocked by 15-25%
I have no problems running any game at 1920 x 1080 resolution getting an average of over 30 FPS on Metro 2033 using max settings however with DA2 I'm dropping down to 7-8 FPS under Direct X 11 settings
I haven't tried lowering the settings yet, however from the demo I had the same issues so was able to play on a lower settings. However I find it very disappointing that I will not be able to play on DX11 settings, especially as we were told that this was a problem with the demo only and was fixed in the main game....
...unless Bioware is trying to compete with Metro 2033 for the most graphically intensive game around!!!
I have tried installing & updating drivers as mentioned in the original post in this thread.

ATI Radeon 4870 X2
No matter what settings I use (dx9 or 10) or just about any other variation with AA etc (Did trial and error for 2 hours... :-( I get screen tears all the time. I'm running at 1680 X 1050 and I'm running the new drivers.

I pieced together two simple settings from these forums which corrected all the audio and video problems I was experiencing. In the Configuration (not in-game), click Video and make these changes:
1) Uncheck Full Screen (wait about 5 seconds) and then recheck Full Screen
2) Rendering: select DX9
I even selected 8x Antialiasing, and the FPS normally is anywhere between 60 - 135.
That's it. All my problems went away and the game is now running as smooth as butter. No more hangs, stutters, freezes, or reboots.
Many thanks to the many fine folks on these forums.

Windows 64 bit, i7 Intel duo core processor 8GB of memory Ram, 2 TB of hard disk space, 2.8 GHz etc. It's not my computer. It's this game. I've updated audio & video drivers and turned off Direct X 11, still won't even play.
