Dear Mr Priestly,
About a week ago I read the following post from you.
"High Resolution Texture Pack for the PC version of Dragon Age II
This will add the option to enable higher detail replacements for most textures in game. A big difference will be noticed on level art especially.
Requirements:
Using high-resolution textures requires a graphics card with at least 1024MB video memory.
Most of the benefits from the Hi-resolution textures will only be seen if you are able to run the game in DirectX 11.
To manually download your new content on the PC:
1. Download the installer from the link below and run it.
2. Run Dragon Age II.
3. Open the Options menu.
4. Select Video options.
5. Check the "Hi-resolution textures" checkbox.
Note: In order to enable the "Very High" setting you will need a video card that supports DX11 and the latest drivers.
Hi-Res Texture Pack"
You claimed that "A big difference will be noticed on level art especially."
I would just like to say I noticed a big difference alright! And on many levels..... such as, frame rate, game stability graphic quality and all for the worse.
I find that surprising, since I more than meet all the requirements listed in your post! Can you please explain this?
Could you also give me an update about when the issues I am experiencing with this software will be resolved to my satisfaction? I have paid the full retail price for your software and find I am not able to use it as you describe it. This in my opinion would warrant some detailed explanation and at the very least the updating of this thread and/or similar information sources
with the alacrity that comes of some semblance of customer service.
I thank you in advance for your speedy reply.
PS
In the spirit of this thread I detail my system specifications to help you on your way to resolving the matter sooner.
Q9650 quad core @3GHz
GTX 570
8GB DDR2 Cruical Balistix Tracer
Asus P5QC motherboard
The game seems to use all four nuclei but loads one of them much higher than the rest. The GPU seems not taxed at all and indeed runs at half steam.
