UPDATED - DX11 known issues and drivers

Intel Core i7 950 @ 3.07GHZ
6144 MB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 570
I'm also having dx11 issues. Plenty of frame drops in all settings, low, medium, high, very high. I'm also having a terrain rendering issue where large black triangles are appearing on the terrain at specific camera angles. At other camera angles the terrain is just fine. I updated my video driver last night and the issue remains.
dx9 runs smooth as a chicken, though.

Game runs at VERY low frames, everything very choppy. Occasional black artifacts or missing textures on the ground, depending on camera angle. With beta drivers slight improvement but still very unacceptable performance given my hardware.

Intel Core i5 750 CPU
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570 (Factory OC) [Running latest BETA forceware 267.24]
12GB DDR3-1333 RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Signature Edition of DA2
Similar problem to those above: Getting SHOCKING performance from my 570 in DA2 w/DX11+Any of the DX11 options.
DX9/High/8xAA/16xAF/Hi-Res Texture Pack, Game runs smoother than slicing through butter, With some minor graphical tearing in cutscenes. VSync on, Game becomes incredibly choppy, But no tearing in cutscenes.
Activate ONLY DX11 (No DX11 Features), With settings as above, FPS drops to 10-12. Game CTD (Crash To Desktop) at cutscenes.
From what I can tell, The use of DirectX 11 as the renderer, Is fine, As long as you don't attempt to set the graphics to "very high" or attempt to use any of the DX11 features. Doing so, Causes Dragon Age 2 to "Stop Responding" or otherwise CTD.
As this doesnt seem limited to either NVidia OR ATI, I'm going to say Bioware needs to fix this!

Camera movement is choppy or jittery with any settings if it is set to use DX11. Even with the resolution lowered to 800x600, quality at Low, sound disabled and all eye candy options turned off, camera or character movement is still choppy.
Tried the latest certified Nvidia drivers (266.58) and the beta drivers (267.24). The driver updates seem to have had no affect on the problem.
The game runs smooth on DX9 with all settings turned up (as much as DX9 allows, anyway).

I am not having any issues with the DX11, but there are serious issues with the frame rates using the very high res pack. I found that turning off the high shadow details help a lot, but the scene where Flemeth changes into human form the first time we meet her, it slows to a near crawl (10FPS).
Yep, that's probably because there is lots of fire on screen.

6GB Corsair DDR3 1600Mhz RAM
60GB SSD Corsair (for Windows 7)
150GB WD Raptor HD
Running the Nvidia beta 267.4 drivers from Nvidia.
The game runs around 40-60 fps especially at my resolution (2560x1600), nothing modified or altered on the gaming rig as in overclocked gpus or cpu, although I probably should soon. I still feel like it should kill this game hands down maxed out.
Settings are as follows...
very high graphics setting
check mark boxes all unticked
high texture pack selected
AA 2x
AS 2x
Anti-aliasing set anything above 4x really begins to slow down the system considerably, AS set to 16x seems to do nothing notable performance wise...and I do not visibly notice any graphical enhancement with it set from 0x to 16x so to me its irrelevant.

Hey great job Biofail. charge more for your games and knowingly put out uncooked software day of release.
Do the words Pride, Integrity and giving a sh*t mean anything to you folks over there?..
It's quite obvious they do not. But thank you for charging me $59.99 for a PC game that isnt ready for prime time.
Have a great day!

Using ATI beta drivers posted here
High Def textures installed
Game is playable for me, stable framerate of about 35-40, but when the game goes into cutscenes and conversations they will occasionally freeze graphically, though the audio will continue normally. This only happens when using the DX11 renderer, DX9 runs fine.

I downloaded the beta 267.26 driver, which is only supposed to be meant for the GTX 560 Ti, and modified the .inf file to work with my 260M, and surprise, surprise, I am able to run the game on everything as high as I can go on DX10, except without SSAO, and it runs without freezing anymore at a stable framerate. Previously was running the 267.24 beta driver.
Your mileage may vary, but NVIDIA really shouldn't device lock their drivers.

Using high res textures as well.
I have everything turned off, except for graphics settings on high and dx11 settings.
I get random FPS drops (graphics slow to a crawl if not stop, audio continues normally). Most commonly in conversation, but happens in and out of combat sometimes too. Usually only lasts 5 seconds or so. Sometimes I can play 30 minutes without one, other times only a few minutes. Changing settings to lower does not help. Computer plays with zero lag, except for these fps drops and they don't seem to be affected by lighting/spells, so I don't feel its anything that I can control on my end. No pattern I've noticed on my end. Restarting the program after starting to get frequent fps drops does not seem to make any noticable difference.

nVidia GTX 570 1280mb
Win7 64
Using beta nvidia drivers from march 1st.
Running on DirectX 11 "Very High" results in very poor frame rate (15-20fps...). This is regardless of what extra features I turn on or off (SSAO, blur, etc.) - it's always equally bad. The only way I can maintain a 60+ frame rate is to drop to "High" mode and also disable SSAO which seems to create a huge performance hit when enabled in High mode.

I seemed to have fixed my freezing, though it wasn't pretty. This may help for people with low framerates as well.

Good to know this option is available, BUT I would caution you from doing so as it will probably mess up your card. I changed the inf for my 460M and it was great... for a few days and then the card started to make whirring/clicking noises. Luckily it was a new laptop and I returned it for a new one. I am just going to wait for a patch... sigh...

I messed up my 460M by modding the inf. it worked well for a few days and then it started to make noises CAUTION

There's no way that it could've been the .inf. It just updates it so it detects your card, all NVIDIA drivers are universal. It's possible that it's just a coincidence, or the driver install changed your clock speeds, but I'm doing fine right now, and should continue to because I've done this before. Sorry for your loss though

4gb Corsair Dominator GT DDR3
790i Ultra SLI
2x EVGA gtx460 in SLI
Already running the latest WHQL drivers (not going to run beta drivers)
dx11 mode (this is just quick plays to test settings, not extended play time)
--all runs have v-sync off--
1) medium setting, 4x AA, --- generally stays above 90 fps
2) high setting, 4x AA, no ambient occ.---mostly 80+ fps
3) high setting, 4x AA, amb. occ. on ---mostly 60+ fps
4) high setting, 4x AA, 4x AF, amb. occ. on ---pretty much low 50s into the 70s for fps
5) very high setting- nothing else on --- lags out, unplayable.
This is not so much a complaint, but more of a report of early findings. The game early on at least plays great and looks great for me using the above #4 settings.
I would think that there should not be such a huge drop in performance from #4 to #5 though. From great to unplayable with one setting.

I need to emphasize micro-stuttering is not FPS related. My FPS on "Very High" is above 40, and if I idle motionless the scenery or NPC animations are fluid. Character or camera movement however invokes micro-stuttering that gives the illusion that my FPS is very very low. That said, I believe I have another related or unrelated problem in that my TRI-SLI GTX 580 is only utilizing 60% GPU and I ought to have much higher than 40 FPS average for my system specs. (read: poorly optimized drivers)
Some suggested it's CPU related, but most I've read about micro-stuttering generally pins the blame on video drivers.
Here is my video again showing D2 micro-stuttering:

4.00 GB Installed DDR3 RAM
nVidia GeForce 9600 GT (driver version Beta 267.24) 1024 MB GDDR3 video memory
Enabling DX11 gives me 15-20 FPS at best even on Medium settings. Furthermore, I experience random freezes where the game will hang, sometimes for minutes at a time, before unpredictably going back into motion. This happens particularly often during combat. I also get the no CD in tray error that some have reported, although if I just hit Continue, the game menu loads as expected.
Game runs fine using DX9, and the graphics are decent for the most part, except for water, which is oddly pixelated and full of black lines. Haven't experienced the CD error when using DX9.
