BFBC2 does use DX10 and 11...

"HBAO and DirectX Version" page.
You are right it and I sit corrected

but it only uses DX11 in small ways
www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,705197/Battlefield-Bad-Company-2-x-New-tech-info-about-the-DX11-game/News/Here are some excerpts
PCGH: Are there some graphical features that can only be rendered with shader model 5 hardware and how you
realize them (especially Hardware-Tessellation and Direct Compute 5 for accelerated Ambient Occlusion)?
Anders Gyllenberg: We are using some shader model 5 instructions for improving performance with the soft shadow filtering. Other than that, the game engine is designed to run well with shader model 3 and 4 hardware.
PCGH: Beside DX 11, will there also be DX9 and DX10 as alternative rendering paths and if yes, which performance and visuals experience can we expect of this?
Anders Gyllenberg: Yes we also support Dx9 & Dx10. The Dx9 path is efficient, but lacks some of the features
such as HBAO, AA and soft shadows.
PCGH: Developing for Console (and PC) usually requires an engine that is strongly multithreaded. What different calculations can be or are split up into different threads/worker jobs and what is the expected performance gain resulting from two respectively four (or more) cores? You are using DX11-Multithreading to lighten the load on the CPU?
Anders Gyllenberg: Most of the CPU processing is parallelized – culling, rendering, physics, audio, animations, collision etc. Performance increases noticeably with a quad core. We are currently not using DX11-multithreading.
I was wrong yes to say it doesn't use it completly but the game does not benefit in any signifigent way with the other features that make DX11 so ground breaking. Like the Multithreading and Tessellation, which DA2 uses on every map in the rocks and background. I have screen shots if you would like me to link to them. I don't feel that this addresses the origonal issue he wants DX11 to run better on his 460 but it is still not a valid argument to say BFBC2 uses DX11 features the way DA2 does. I appreciate you pointing out my error though.

My question Kayden is I was running at
about 20-30 FPS with my GeForce GT 220 for a week with no problems and
then today it started acting up and slowing down to 1 FPS. Why would
that occur exactly? It'd be one thing if it never worked right, but its
run fine until now.
I know this may sound a little daft but I have been seeing issues with the launchers setting and the in game settings, have you changed your games setting the launcher and then go back to the launcher to put them back? What I have been seeing is that the launcher still keeps certain things enabled like DX11 even if you go down to DX9 and choose High or Very high textures. Try going in the game and making the changes there. Aside from that did you progress in a chapter or install a new antivirus or drivers? Lastly some ppl have said there has been a problem with the task manager the games priority, try to manually change this to normal or above normal but not higher then that. Let me know what you find.

more =-(. Looks like ill be rollin back...sigh. I just want to play
Dragon Age 2 /cry. Anyone know what the problem is? Is there another
work around I am unaware of? Any and all help is once again greatly
appreciated.
Draght and I thought that might work for you to. Did the SLI Visiual indicator show that it was using SLI properly? Even at the main screen you should see somthing.
