For Nvidia Users instead of getting last version of your GPU get the BETA version the game is running a lot faster and better.
Processor: AMD Phenom 8450 Triple-Core Processor (3 CPUs), ~2.1GHz

GeForce GTS 250
DirectX 11
Windows 7 64 bit
EDIT: Forget what io said, just kept playing after 15 min the game got stuck well i guess DX11 is broken at the moment gotta play it on DX9

Stats
Windows 7 64 bit service pack 1
2600k @ 5ghz, 8gig ram
2 x 460 GTX (850mhz each) in SLI, driver 267.24
aka a very very fast machine.
Video 1900x1200 DX 11, very high detail
AA off, AF 8x
depth of field, blur and high res textures on,
average 25 fps in a fight.. 35 out of combat
CPU @ ~11% utilization, GPU both @ ~55% utilization (SLI appears to be on)
turning on ambient occlusion costs about 10FPS.
Video 1900x1200, DX9
Average around 180 FPS with vsynch off, everything else maxed.
CPU ~21%, and both GPU's ~75%
Obviously the DX11 code path is messed, which means all of us with high end hardware will be playing in DX9.

Q9650, 4gb ram, gtx 470 with the new beta drivers, vista64.
In DX 11(texture pack) maxed settings 1920x1080 the game crashes every 1-2 min unresponsive freezing or CTD with display driver reset.
5-10fps
Noticed NPC's will take 2 steps and then pop back 1 step as they walk(same problem as fallout:NV had with their new render).. sound loops and FPS drops to 0 in cutsceens.
I can make it playable for 30 min time by lowering resolution and graphics settings.
I'd like to point out that my hardware is rock solid stable... I have like 50 games and none crash.
I've had games running for weeks without a crash(keeps my room warm while away
).
This isn't just hardware problems... It's software.
Probably stupid handling and sloppy code.
problems clicking buttons
Like having double clicks connected to the mouses x,y and not the button that is clicked.. that's stupid(if that's the problem)

After updating to beta and back, I've switch back to 260.63 which I ran the beta and have absolutely no stuttering in cutscenes that wer slideshow with 266.58 and the beta.
I highly recommend trying 260.63 if you still have problems.
Could you elaborate a bit please? Did you notice a big fps boost in general? What settings do and did you use? What is your rig? Also, 260.63 is not available on the nvidia website for me.

Windows 7 (bought/preloaded from steam)
i7 930 @ 4 GHz
6 GB ram
GTX 560 Ti, driver 267.26
1920x1080 DX11 very high with hi res textures
Not really FPS issues since the game isn't playable-- it freezes before I can do anything out of load, haven't tried another new game yet.
Have tried DX9, but still had issues with textures and stability. Have tried multiple combos of the checkboxes and twiddling with my graphics driver settings.
I guess i'll be waiting a while before I can actually play this. At least DX9 works for other people.

i7 930 @ 3.6Mhz
6GB ram
2 GTX 480s in SLI
Beta Nvidia drivers
Terrible frame rate in DX11 with all settings maxed. Passable frame rate with AA off.
As others have mentioned, people with my setup or similar should be maxing this game EASILY. I max Metro 2033 and Crysis 2 and every other game I've ever tried.
This is UNACCEPTABLE. We paid good money for this game in a very bad economy to get an unfinished product. I simply cannot believe Bioware/EA wasn't aware of this before releasing the game. This is the kind of frustration that destroys the trust gamers have on a developer.
I'm very disappointed.

specs:
OS- windows 7 x64
CPU- i7 1.60Gh
Video Card- 2x radeon 5870
I can play the game with everything set to max for dx11, the one bug is that the "screen space ambient occulation" setting when turned on creates all these random lines that go across the screen on the ground. Everything else will work great (frames and all), just this one issue. Sucks that I cant play the game to my pc's full potential. Any solutions to this?

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Intel Core i7 930 @ 3.6ghz
6gb DDR3 triple channel
SLI GTX 460 OC'd
267.24 beta drivers
Game runs pretty bad at 1920x1080 everything maxed. Cutscenes are fairly smooth at 50-60 fps but actual gameplay and combat slows down to 20-30 fps, unplayable imo.
Runs better on High settings, but still slows down in gameplay/combat with SSAO turned on.

Horrible fps on maxed setting as well. Mediocre on lower levels.
The setup i have should produce much better result. It does so on much heavier games without a problem.

Unplayable fps on high with all other settings turned off... I waited a year for this game and worked my ass off to buy this p.c. Now I cannot even play it on a decent setting. btw- on MEDIUM I am getting 30 to 40 fps in kirkwall. C'mon guys you can do it. Do not disappoint me/us!
UPDATE 1
I have tried All the different setting available, and the only way I get smooth FPS is if I reduce the resolution down to a teeny tiny window on my 17.3 inch monster screen.
I modded the 267.26(the GTX Ti one) and it actually gave me MUCH better DX 11 FPS than the beta driver for 460M(266.58). Still not smooth (max 50 FPS, average 30 FPS). I am undoing this however since it is giving my card random jumps to higher clock speeds.
It seems the game is only using 70% of my graphics card on average compared to the high 90s by DA:O!
current conclusion- patch needed ASAP
UPDATE 2
Here are my final settings to get it playable with decent quality
1280 720(16:9)
Full screen check
DX 11
Vsync check
Graphics High
A.A. 0(for 60FPS) or 4(for 52 FPS) (I prefer 4 as the dip in FPS is not that bad)
A.F. off(Having it high doesnt make a difference)
SSAO, DPF and HQ Blur off
High res. texture check
updated conclusion- after 12 hours of toiling I am able to play a sub par version of the game on my laptop which can run tougher games. Patch still necessary for 1080p quality
Got exactly the same machine, latest beta driver and all. Currently playing at 720p with graphics settings high (4xAA, 2xAF) in windowed mode getting average of 30 fps. Still, massive slowdown (10 fps) occurs on effects-heavy cutscenes, had to turn off ambient occlusion. High res textures check. Please help! I can only wonder how this game looks maxed out!!

Intel i7 920 @3.5Ghz
6GB DDR3
GTX 570 with 267.24beta driver
Win 7 64b
20/30 fps in Dx11 Very High setting.
55/60+ fps in High setting (vsync capped)
both in 1920x1080 with Highrez textures, AA 2x, AF 8x , AO on, full screen, vsync
I've try the "modding 267.26b" theory, but no obvious changes, same fps.
Perf and render in Very High setting is rather disappointing, the framerate is not smooth, the tesselation is kind of just inflating the textures and so collisions looks odd (like the character's foots goind through the floor), there is also self shadowing problems with black artifacts instead of shadows on some npc depending on their distance to the camera.
I was hoping for better optimization.

On Very High settings, with or without the high-resolution textures, NVIDIA's latest WHQL drivers (266.58) result in 5 FPS and black textures, but their latest beta drivers for the GTX 480 (267.24) clear up the textures and give me 20 FPS. Still nothing like you'd expect from this system's specifications, but a significant improvement.

I had some problems with crashing and what not before updating the drivers. The problems seem to be ironed out now. The frame rate seems much more stable now. I am able to play on Very High with V Sync off and all options turned on. I have 2 Radeon 5870's in Crossfire. I think a patch is still needed. This game "feels" unfinished. There's something about it that just doesn't seem quite right, however I am not concerned. I know you guys will make it right.

CPU: E8400
4gb RAM (DDR3)
GTX 285
Windows 7 (64)
Works great (and smooth) for a few seconds and then there's a hiccup (that can last a full second). Constant.
