This social site potentially opens opportunities for community contribution to the ideas cycle for the DLC team.  Has Bioware considered something of this?  How it might work?  Whether it is something that bioware is even interested in considering?

I (obviously) cannot speak for BioWare, but this seems extremely unlikely to me, for legal reasons. I just cannot see EAs legal team approving something like this - they would be exposing themselves to potential liability, if somebody submitted a full plot that had been "ripped" from some little known novel. The author of that novel could then sue for use of his material without authorization.

Not likely, perhaps, but legal departments don't like unnecessary risks.

What you may get is a forum for submitting ideas, where community modders could then pick  up.

Adinos, you are entirely correct in most cases for some kind of forum based submission, thats why no one does that and I wouldnt expect it here.

Sometimes contests or an email inbox is planned to allow this kind of community submission which has the opportunity for LCA review/control of submissions and vetting processes.

Thats what im looking for here.

They do give you a nice platform to get people together and create your own mods/addons or even find other player dev teams to contribute to. You can't really expect the bioware team to build your scenario for you, just because they are such nice guys and their storywriters need some time off ;)

I have an idea for an arena that can only be accesed through the *extra-net* there will be a free for all mode where you can pit your commander shephard against another guys shephard. or two on two battles where you can team up your shephard with anothers guys. or squad based missions where one guy is commander shephard and you can play as one of your other team mates like Garrus, Grunt, Zaied, Jacob, Mordin, Thane, Miranda, Jake, Tali, Samara, Morinth, Legion. and depending on the score you get you will get a prize dlc you can download in the cerberus network. also in the lobby for the arena you can other peoples comander shephard. and the arena will be on Omega since the Citidel Council will probobly not like it. now i want your guys honest opinion about my idea, and if you want make improvements to my idea. oh and i hope you all like it.

I like your idea on DLC ideas being heard by Bioware. What i'm thinking is specific character DLC. Say your interested in Miranda's past and you want to go deeper into it? Or learn more about Jacob's father?

I agree. I have a few ideas that I'd love to see in the game. Plus I have a feeling where another DLC will be because of the planet's description.

I like to see m-29 incisor sniper rifle, collector assault rifle, and some upgrade to the m-44 hammerhead tank. Also like to get Inferno Armor or Terminus Assault Armor plus weapon that come with it

We do often get inspiration for ideas from the forum. With so many people talking about so many things, it would be difficult to not be influenced at all by our community. But you shouldn't expect to do the job of a game designer/writer and getting your ideas into a game without, well, becoming a game designer/writer. That's just not how our community/developer relationship works.

You can feel free to talk about ideas and suggestions you have, though. Remember that game designers/writers are professionals who are paid to come up with and develop story ideas all the time. Note the "develop" part of the process. Anyone and everyone has cool and fun ideas, but developers have to expand on them and make them usable as part of a game, and that takes a lot more time and work than simply posting on a message board. So if you ever want to definitely see something you created get into a game, it's a good idea to look into becoming a developer yourself, either as part of a mod team or studying for a new career.
