You might actually be surprised. T obe honest it's not all THAT hard, it just HAPPENS that the ONE girl I want happens to be a christian girl from a christian family, and I'm the only girl she's ever had feelings for, and we BOTH know that her family will NEVER understand...... As I said, take anything I say with the massive grain of salt, that I don't know the actual situation, and have never been in such a situation, so saying this is a lot easier for me, then doing it might be. But imho, that's even better. Get her to be in some public place, like a restaurant or something, where avoiding to hear you two out, will cause a massive scene, and be extremely embarrasing for her.
It's still a massive gamble, but if I interpret what you say correctly, and she's actively about to end your relationship, what do you have to loose?

Yeah and what kind of vague, bullcrap excuse is that?
She either suspects or is all too willing to blame any change in behaviour in this girl that she doesn't like on outside influence, i.e. you.

This is likely. Mother bear issues and such, even if it may be tied to religion. Showing her respect while remaining firm is definately a worthy alternative to your approach.

She wants what she thinks is best for her daughter--whether she's correct or incorrect is (sadly) irrelevant.
