So far, Yay, it looks like the usual Angry Trolls spamming everywhere they can their hate

It has its bad spots like the nerfed inventory but its definalty not as bad as the 'old school' RPG fanboys make it out to be.

I am about 7 hours in and I say Yay for me this is Origins with everything origins was missing PC VO (for me a non voiced Player = No immersion) the combat is faster then origins (origins was too slow I fell asleep alot during combat) story is not bad so far (but could be a little better.

Nay

It really is a reskinned Mass Effect. We never know what our character is going to say. I always thought that was strange in ME, now it is in DA franchise too. Combat is typical console ninja jump across the screen garbage. There is a good chance I will never finish this game.

Us tea sipping top hat wearing Brits have got to wait for another two sodding days for this. I think I'll like it... probably because I didn't really think ME2 was "dumbed down"... but then I'd never really played any of the old school hardcore RPGs. My elitist gaming friends consider it the highest of insults to label me a "casual gamer" (as a Lord might brush his sleeve of a filthy peasant). So yeah... I think I will enjoy it.

But even the good reviews are only giving it 8.5ish maybe 9/10. I think they've lost their Game of the Year chance with this one. Now they'll be relying on Mass Effect 3 providing it still releases in December.

Totally, because y'know it would be stupid to get a game you already don't like.

And btw I'm waiting for an Ultimate Edition to get my money's worth

I am more than satisfied with my purchase of this game. Yay and then some. If BioWare can just keep it up and come out with quality DLC, I'll be beyond happy.

NAY
This is....wow Im about ten hours into this and to think that this is the sequal to DAO how can the developers even release this with such an amazing effort in the first to put this on the market is embarssing. This is virtualy Dragon age awakening with a little more effort and alot less passion. I have seen 4 maps now for about 20 missions each one identical to the next kill this guy, collect the regeant to craft, and this evil group walking around at night.

To call this a RPG is laughable this could have been put on a dvd player where you hit the 1 button on the remote as you are really choosing no path for yourself and at some point in my fourth hour I just stoped reading anything codex, NPCs talking its blah blah blah, you feel no connection to your companions you dont even hardly know when you can talk to them at their house so you just make constant visits and they say their one line each time. I will never buy a bioware game before its released again and this is comming from one of the biggest fans of Bioware since shattered steel.

I won't say yay or nay (which I guess is essentially saying nay) but my major gripe is that they reuse the crap out of the exteriors. I've been into the same mine/cave at least five times so far when it's supposed to be in five different locations. I know a lot of games do this, but this time it's so painfully obvious it's the same location.

Edit: Melduran said it better than I could sooner than I could.

BIG NAY....its not even the same game anymore. Tweaking the engine for a better console experience is one thing. Stripping away everything that made the series unique is another. Maybe the dev's of DA2 were forced to churn out a sequel quickly......along the same lines as KOTOR2. But at least the core game was still there.

DA2 is a below average RPG. It ranks right up there with the recent Final Fantasy in the dissapointment department. God.... i hope they dont screw up Mass Effect 3.

Hard to say. I'm trying to stay optimistic but the amount of ridiculous gore kinda turn me off.

Seeing the whirlwind attack decapitating anything above the boots achieves a comical effect instead of the grim-dark atmosphere I was expecting.

So i just wandered onto metacritic and saw that the user score is a 4.3!!!! very low, however i know that those who leave comments on metacritic feel very strongly one way or another about the game in question.  So why don't we get a better consensus on DA2 going here.  If you are enjoying DA2 so far, please say Yay, and if hate it, please say Nay.  Afterwards leave a gap and write your comments below.  I will tally up the results and post them here!

ITs a very bad bad RPG. Especially if you play on the PC.
The controls are horrible and the combat is totally unbalanced. And
these wave are are really annoying. Essepcially the new ones which just
spawn right into the area.

Interactivity is almost not there and the city which should play a big role feels totally lifeless.

If you havent bought it dont buy it for the love of RPG gamer who really care about good RPGs
