I don't understand why everyone doesn't like this game compared to Origins (If you played on the PC I can maybe understand) but DA2 is so much better on console than Origins.
My vote is Yay! I love the game!

I've only played for about 3 hours. So far I would say "yay" - it runs fairly well, and is interesting and enjoyable. But, I'm not far enough into the game to make a final decision. The only change that really annoys me is that the camera does not unlock from your character when you zoom out on PC (I don't mind it not scrolling as far back - it is the fact that it stays locked on your character that most annoys me).

Nay.
For the record, I thought that the changes from ME1 to ME2 were a bit on the "we'll hold your hand" side of things, but I still immensely enjoyed it. But, DA:O trumped ME1 and ME2.
DA2? Ugh. It just doesn't feel like Dragon Age. Doesn't feel like Bioware.
Also for the record, I played the demo and sort of enjoyed it, but I never let demos get my hopes up or down. I even defended the demo amongst my friends. Sadly, they were right. DA2 just... Nay.

A yay from me.
It's not Dragon Age Origins, it's Dragon Age 2. It's not the same game, and I for one never expected to play DAO part 2. Awakening was DAO part 2 and it sucked. I dunno, I felt like my time was well spent, and I actually really am enjoying these characters more than DAO's characters. For me, it removed a lot of the needless complication of DAO and allows me to get more into the story and gameplay which I'm really enjoying.

Currently, Yay. I'm enjoying it immensely; good writing, fast-paced combat, and I for one prefer the streamlined (yes, I prefer that word to 'dumbed down) inventory system. Less fiddling about making sure your companions always have the best pair of pants, and allows them to keep their unique look instead of just tromping around like they're having a "Me" lookalike contest.
Plot's a little thin at this point, but I'm only a couple hours in (and I restarted to play a warrior instead of a rogue, 'cause I like swinging around big pointy metal bits), and I am noticing the repetetive combat environments... But so far, I can deal with those. We'll see how it stacks up over time.
Still annoyed there's no text size increase option. Makes playing it on a SD TV a lot less fun.
ETA: Also, the Qunari are f*cking awesome in this one. Kinda remind me of a cross between Klingons and Samurai.

Hold
Positives so far after 5-6 hours in: Looks great, fun to play, more loot than I thought there'd be, some interesting characters like Varric and Sebastian, Fenris surprised me as well and I'm looking forward to using him.
Negatives: Broken DX11 / not up to date drivers released (not sure who's entirely to blame but it's a problem), ridiculous amounts of DLC, the story lacks all impact: my brother dies 5 minutes into the game (the only effect it had was humor) and the first time jump skipped over what could have been some great character development missions. It feels like a rushed story so far. I'll be severely disappointed but not surprised if they fill in these gaps with more paid DLC. Aveline is still an awful, wooden, bland character.

Probably a decent game....in a vacuum.
Certainly, a let down from DAO. Of course, we all knew that going in, a purchase merely confirms this.
They shot for adequate and might have even hit that goal....
rather then say, going for Epic.

I wrote a review on Metacritic.
By the way, its not just the Users but the Critics are down too
- 7 points on PC
- 3 on each console
I guess the "stream lining" isnt working out to well

The Dragon Age world is very much the same as it was in DA:O except with a slightly different art style. The game play has been changed very little to make the console version seem as exciting as the PC version, for me, it worked out great. I beat DA:O for the Xbox and if it wasn't for damn good writing, I would have stopped playing it and left it alone.
I am honestly amazed at how many people are butthurt about some of the changes made in DA2. Metacritic is spammed with people who just gave it a 1/10 for no reason, we all know none of them have beat the game, and probably haven't even played it. To me, it feels like I'm playing DA:O without an auto-attack, that's all. I like it though, it makes me feel as though I'm always doing something.

Total yay - beautiful scenery/design, awesome characters, and 6hrs of gameplay and 1 year has passed and I feel like I have barely scratched the surface of what is to come. I am so excited to wake up to playing more tomorrow. Just as good as DA:O so far, imo:)

At three hours in I said YAY. At nine hours in I say NAY. Worn out now and wrung dry of originality. I am selling mine when done. It does not have the depth and replayability of DA:O. Dumbed down with crisper graphic and a convoluted story.

Well I love the hell out of it...the game is...at its core...fun. Origins could be incredibly humdrum at sometimes..and down right boring...but this one...for some reason I have yet to run into that feeling 13 hours in and still in the first act.
I will say that I like origins more...but thats like comparing a million dollars to $900,000...either would be great to have.
I started playing around noon today and pretty much havent stopped...the only reason I am going to be now is because I am getting really tired.
What I really liked
The style/graphics
Sound
writing (but this is bioware..)
side quests (some of these are actually quite interesting)
Combat (first time I have ever felt powerful while playing a mage)
What is meh/dont like
the weapon/armor system
The somewhat confusing quest system
Locked companion talent tree thing (why cant X character be a Healer/Tank/Damage etc.)
Thats pretty much it...

yay... If you like what Bioware did with Mass Effect 2, you'll like Dragon Age 2.
On the contrary, that style of gameplay worked great for Mass Effect primarily because it was a shooter with RPG elements. This is meant to be a sequel to a traditional RPG; "the sequel to the spiritual successor of Baldur's Gate". The action elements just feel out of place, and your options for skills/powers seem meaningless.
Overall, it feels like this game doesn't know what it wants to be. I've loved every Bioware game to date, ESPECIALLY the Mass Effect series, but this.... this is a nay for me.
I have to disagree, Mass Effect 2 took core rpg elements and applied them to everything but the combat. The combat was approached like a 3ps, which made it feel more authentic as an experience. In Dragon Age 2 they attempted the same thing. Granted this wouldn't sit well with people who play RPGs like a chess match, but if you really do like immersion into an RPG, this game has succeded as wel;l as Mass Effect 2.

Yay from me.
Been playing quite extensively and so far it feels like they fixed all the major problems I had with Origins, combat feels a lot more fun and engaging, characters feel a lot more diverse (loving the diverse cultural feel in the voices), and really getting into the events happening around me and wondering whats gonna come back to bite me in the ass later.
Only minor complaint was that the save importer made a slight error with the character I used, it imported everything correctly but thought my Female Elf Warden made the sacrifice at the end when Alister refused to let me due to his feelings and performed the sacrificial blow himself.
But still I'm having a lot of fun and to me that is what is important.
